In all sincerity, why? Because he tested poorly? He might be the most NFL-ready WR in this draft.

Because I don't like the looks of most of this

And I worry about getting a guy like this, a surefire bonafide star

LMAO

I knew he would point to his RAS score.

Kiimo 04-01-2022 02:53 PM

I was asked why, I showed my work. Your opinion on it is of no consequence to me

It’s lazy.

Your aren’t presenting it as a concern, which would be fair, but instead as if it’s some kind of deal breaker.

If that’s a deal breaker for you, you clearly haven’t watched him play.

He’s not a guy that you watch and come away concerned about how he will test, hence why it was a little disappointing . He plays much faster than he times, as evidenced by him pulling away from SEC DBs at 6’2”225 lbs.

Kiimo 04-01-2022 02:58 PM

The problem is you get an opinion on a player and act as if anyone who disagrees is an idiot.

There are busts every year. Sometimes you can see it coming and sometimes you can't.

This is the reason I think he'll get blanketed by defenders and will be especially bad in the moments where the play breaks down and Mahomes is looking for a guy to just get open and freestyle.

And you got all that from an image…

Could he be good? Most certainly! But we have one shot at this and a ton of options. This kind of thing pushes him out for me.

I was also told that CEH plays faster than he tests. Welp.

and when you compare his numbers I don't like this very much

JJ Arcega-Whiteside had 14 touchdowns his junior year, declared for the draft and articles like this were made pre-draft

I would like to avoid being the Eagles with our first round WR

Usually the busts come from the combine super stars who move up based on what they did in shorts.

Burks is a tough one because his film shows him as faster than he tests.

He's a soft body WR with a thick lower half, but surprisingly didn't test as strong as you'd think. His vertical, bench, 3-cone and 40 are pretty meh.

But on tape, the dude runs away from defenders and is strong during the catch.

Real hard to judge that guy.

I have what I like in a WR, but i understand that just because a guy isn't what I like doesn't mean he won't be good.

With that said, i'm not sure he's what the Chiefs like.

Kiimo 04-01-2022 03:13 PM

The good news is I trust Veach to pick the right guy and I'm sure even if he doesn't pick the best one he'll at least be good.

I wish Hardman was DK but also Hardman is pretty dang good and getting better.

If you’re seriously comparing Burks to JJ Arcega-Whiteside, then you definitely have not watched him play.

Also, him playing faster than he times is supported by him having the fastest (or one of the fastest) recorded MPH on a play last year.

On that play, the 6'3", 225-pounder was clocked running 22.6 miles per hour. No play in the NFL featured a faster speed last season. Only two plays were faster the year before.
It’s not just the eye test. Dude clearly plays faster than he times, and it’s not really debatable.
