A little sad that there are fewer and fewer B&N's these days.

I worked at a B&N way back when. Pay was horrible, but I loved that job. Anyway, it was the B&N on the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. Big, three floor store and very, very busy, especially on weekends. Well, we were one of the few businesses on the Promenade that had an open restroom policy. No tokens, or needing to buy something. We also allowed the homeless to come in, as long as they weren't god awful dirty, smelly or disruptive. But this meant those restrooms got ABUSED. The stuff I saw happen in those restrooms are not to be believed. I once tried to dissuade Luke Wilson from using the facilities, but when you gotta go... He walks out white as a sheet, approaches me again saying, "Man, you weren't kidding..." All I could say back was, "I told you so, Luke." We had to have the rooms professionally cleaned once a week, and that still barely made a dent in things. Taking a piss was bad enough, but you couldn't pay me to take a shit there. Luckily I found a law office a block down the street on the 7th floor. Finest facilities around.
