Also, I'd rather not play Josh Allen. He's been bad by his standards for most of the season, but we're not equipped to stop him if he clicks in. Few teams are.

I'm not sure what the Bengals need to do to get more respect. They beat us 3 times in a row and were on their way to beating the Bills before Demar went down.

The Bengals are like an uber-shitty version of the Pats over the years. They have a dollar store Brady, and they get by through those fluke plays at the most perfect time, and by their opponents making key mistakes, and by their kicker being the best player on their team.

When they finally start losing the turnover battle, missing FGs, have opponents not fumble the game right to them or just outright collapse, etc., it's back to being the Bungles.

If the Bills show up, and Allen doesn't generously give them the ball a bunch, it won't be a contest.

Fluke fumble and a phantom penalty on a housed Burrow pick or you got blown the **** out

Sadly it'll be a neutral site. Allen is gonna feast.

Monticore 01-18-2023 07:05 AM

Doesn’t really matter we can beat either , watching chase moss our DB is annoying to watch but Allen running for first down and probably going for it on every 4th downs is ****ing annoying to watch too .

Who the hell are we rooting for?

I personally am rooting for The Kansas City Chiefs (my favorite team) to win it all.

First of all, there’s no reason to think they’re suddenly going to start turning it over and missing FGs. But you can expect Allen to give the ball away a few times. In which case the Bills will get smoked. Their secondary has no answer for the Bengals’ passing offense.

Josh Allen is a dickless coward. If we have to play him on a neutral site, we're going to tear him a 2nd vagina

I'd start worrying about the Jacksonville Jaguars before both the Bengals and/or Bills. Them Floridians might be packin' some meth strength.

It's called regression to the mean. And it's not just those two things. They've also relied on other teams missed FGs, have fluke fumbles in their favor, opponent collapse and so on.

Example: do you think KC blows a 3-score lead against them again? Or more likely that was a 1-in-10, 1-in-whatever thing, and they just so happened to use up that luck on the first try.

How anyone can look at their playoff run last year and not see how fluky that was is beyond me. And this year started the same, first by facing a scrub backup QB, and even then they still should've lost. That was not a repeatable, skill-based outcome.

I guess people here hate Allen because he was (wrongly) propped up next to Mahomes. But he's a significantly better and more dynamic overall player than Burrow. And that's pretty much all that matters in the long term. Bills will lose players and keep on ticking; anyone who thinks the Bengals are here to stay for a decade, like the way KC has been and will be... well, they won't be. They'll ebb and flow like the Falcons and Chargers and other in-between teams over the years with recent great-but-not-HIM QBs.

I unfortunately disagree on Burrow, but agree that the Bengals fortunes have to shift at some point. Of course most Superbowl runs have a fair amount of luck mixed in. It's the nature of a small sample size season and single elimination.

How in the **** the Bills deciding they were too traumatized to finish a football game effects the Chiefs is utter bullshit.

Yes, I'm still beating that horse.

I hope the last part is true, although I think Burrow is better than Herbert and the like, and their weapons are the best in the league.

The Bengals have been lucky as hell in all three games vs KC, and they were lucky as hell the other night. I expect that luck to change if they come to Arrowhead. But I don’t necessarily expect it to change this week. I think they likely get a few turnovers from Allen.

I keep trying to ignore this bullshit but it never ends.

If you openly wish for players to be injured, go **** yourself.

No, I would reserve that for fans of other teams who routinely troll another's message board.
