Zero chance he plays

BossChief 02-01-2024 04:17 PM

He may play, but will be used in a limited role if he does.

gordonelloyd 02-01-2024 04:30 PM

Why would they possibly let him play?

Well, he is the guy who essentially scored 14 points in the last Super Bowl...

In Andy we trust. I won't be sad if he sits, but MVS has looked like shit this year until the past couple of games. If they think Toney can contribute, great. If not, that's fine too.

It's good to prepare him and to let the 9ers think he'll play. He's still our twitchiest athlete.

BossChief 02-01-2024 07:42 PM

He’s be a decent decoy and punt returner.

Wanna bet ??

Really depends IF Andy feels desperate IF he uses Toney IMO. If our offense regresses back to most of how our season was(regardless of big drops or mental lapses) or mimics SB 54 where we need a serious "JUMP"(up until 6:37 left to go in the game) Andy "will" utilize Toney's gifted abilities to hopefully make plays. But I don't think Andy just "flippantly" throws him in there IMO. It's 'only' if we are really struggling on offense to make plays.

Nope.

If we need a spark in the 3rd quarter I have no doubt Andy would put him in at punt/kick returner...

I wouldn't be terribly surprised if that was an old rant while he was on the giants. I only listened to it once but I don't remember anything mentioning a specific year or injury or team. It's not like he hasn't been injured many times.

Here's an article where he is said to have had a deleted tweet claiming he wasn't injured while on the giants.

After the trade became official on Thursday, Toney took to Twitter and said in a now-deleted message that he's not injured despite being listed on the Giants' injury report.
