Not me, you can make argument we are winless right now in the Super Bowl if we don’t have Jones. Can’t say the same about Sneed

Because shutting down the opposing #1 wr is easy. Don't short change Sneed.

I was wondering about this. What if he doesn't want to sign with anybody else and is content on our practice squad until we call him up? He doesn't have to sign with a team that comes calling does he? Or does he?

My read on all this Sneed stuff is we are trying to leverage other teams interest to get Lions to let go of pick #29. Almost every other team with "interest" has a high second round pick. Lions are still the most obvious spot... competitive roster with a huge secondary need, and money to spend. It would be smart for the Chiefs to drum up interest and go back to the Lions with "we have standing offers of Vikes 2nd rounder & Falcons 2nd Rounder. So it's either pick #29 or he's playing in the NFC against you the next several seasons..."

It sure seems like they're trying.

We'll squeeze max value out of him and have to slum it with a future HOF CB and two very solid young options.

Yeah, it's like being claimed on waivers. Any team can claim a player off of another team's practice squad. I think they have to keep them on their 53, though or they lose their rights to the player.

The other side of that could be those teams offering their early 3rd plus more sweeteners than the Lions at #61.

If he's chilling at home, someone can "poach" him as well.

Man an extra 2nd and 3rd this draft would really set us up.

Smed1065 03-06-2024 12:15 PM

I would still like to keep him this year. 3Peat.

Sure, but it's HIS decision. And I bet he likes winning rings.

Smed1065 03-06-2024 12:17 PM

I was 5 first SB win and mom worked for them. Never imagined 3 in 5 years.

ThyKingdomCome15 03-06-2024 02:09 PM

Colts have no issue throwing big money at Sneed. Clearly giving high draft capitol is another story.

Expanded the list of possible options to include those with rumored interest

Cardinals have 3 picks in the top 35 (#4,#27,#35)
Lions have #29 & #61
Commanders have 3 picks in the top 40 (#2,#36,#40)
Packers have #25,#41,#58
Dolphins have #21 & #55
Bears have #1, #9 (& might move Fields to ATL for #43)
Giants have #6, #39, and #47
Vikings have #11 & #42
Titans have #7 & #38
Jaguars have #17 & #48
Falcons have #8 & #43
Colts have #15 & #46

ntexascardfan 03-06-2024 02:13 PM

Could we get away with Sneed + 32 for the Colts 15?

Their 46 feels more realistic.

The Chiefs can 3peat without him...
