I'm trying to just soak up Mahomes at this point and not get caught up in the expectations of it all.

Regardless, I'll be really disappointed if we dump this one.

This might be the best pass rush we face in the playoffs. Anderson and Hunter are excellent.

They killed the Chargers OL. Just over 50% pressure rate which is insane.

They have serious talent on both sides of the ball. We can't just skate by them. We need playoff KC to show.

No.

They played against Justin Herbert, the guy who chokes so hard he throws more picks in one game than he had all season.

I'm pretty sure his eyes were closed on 2 or 3 of those.

Houston came to KC talking shit and targeting a recovering Mahomes, and they got their asses kicked 27-19 in the second game of a 3 games in 10 days stretch.

Hunt averaged 5 yards a carry on 11 touches and a td. Mahomes rushed for 33 and a td, and threw 260 and a td.

Now with everybody rested, healthy, playoffs at Arrowhead, nah.

Demeco Ryans has a nice season to build on, he gets to keep his job, but offensively they're where the Chiefs were all season. No Wr 1, no Wr 2. Diggs and Dell out.

They're not winning this game with Joe Mixon and hero balls to Nico Collins.

The Texans were generating a ton of interior pressure. For all of the talk about their tackles, the Chargers IOL is not good. They're like the inverse of the Chiefs.

Same. If anything, I'm just excited for playoff football again.

People sounding warnings about the Texans pass rush seem to forget we just saw them and they didn't do shit.

This game isn't going to be close.

Yeah I'll be real disappointed if we don't threepeat but like...it's kinda hard to be too upset if we don't do something that's never been done before. And like we're not going to win the SB every year, and Allen and Lamar are both good enough that I expect that they'll at least get to if not win a SB at some point. I just don't think it's this year.

Red Dawg 01-14-2025 11:23 AM

We are not losing this game. A dome team is not coming into our frozen house of pain and winning.

Buehler445 01-14-2025 11:24 AM

So, can they go ahead and talk shit again?

I had spaced the "Mahomes better watch out" shit they were blathering on about before until they mentioned it.

Someone get a microphone in their face, stat!

I think Clay had posted before that the 49ers came the closest to the 3-peat.

Like 14-2 and NFCCG loss when they were going for it?

If I have that right, just going to the AFCCG means the Chiefs have had the greatest 3-year run in NFL history. They’d beat that 14-2 record and match the postseason run.

Going to the Super Bowl (not even winning it) means the Chiefs have hit the highest 3-year postseason mark of any franchise ever.

the chargers had no quick passing game to answer the pressure. Their whole passing offense was built around long play action passes and they didnt have the time to execute them against Houston. The Chiefs passing game will be a much more difficult matchup.

Dome teams are pussies. I hope it snows.

The Cowboys in 1994 came pretty close. They lost to the 49ers in the title game on the road. If Dallas wins that game, they could be winning four straight.
