hi, who's your favorite driver?

CoMoChief 04-08-2011 11:14 PM

I don't follow Nascar because its boring as hell to watch on TV.

Turn left Turn left Turn left. <----- That's not driving.

What an original take. Maybe you ought to start a "Not NASCAR 2011 Thread" and try out all of your material.

Bugeater 04-08-2011 11:19 PM

I'm still not convinced that Dylan has figured out who I am.

Kasey Kahne is my personal hottie er I mean fave but I do like Kurt (NOT Kyle) Busch although Kyle seems to have mellowed this year. It's been a fun season so far!

RedNeckRaider:

Thanks for the debate...

The bump and run changed with the new Car of Tomorrow. "The rear bumpers on the new cars have been lowered, while the front bumper has been raised. When a trailing car hits a car in the back now, the contact is square, and the leading car isn't lifted off the track." In addition, "The moment you are hit, you don't actually know whether it's going to be a nudge or a disaster."

"The France Family’s Martinsville “paperclip” is really more in the mold of a traditional short track. It’s flat. That means don’t gas on it in to the turns…gas on it out of the turns. Brake gently in and speed up out. Pretty simple. Except when you give it a bit too much into the turns, those walls will suck you in. You can bump, but you can’t run far."

Quote:

Were the people who said that Dale Jr. laid down at Martinsville watching the same race I was? Seriously? Because I didn’t see a driver lay down. I saw a driver do everything he could to win a race and come up short to superior equipment. I saw a driver in his postrace interview who was disappointed in second place. He knew second place is the first loser-it was written all over his face. But the closing laps were certainly not driven by a driver who didn’t care. Earnhardt was able to get to Kyle Busch late and put the bumper to him to move Busch out of the groove and take the lead.

I can’t imagine that they didn’t show the battle on TV, but it was abundantly clear from the press box that Earnhardt tried to get back to Harvick to complete the slide job via a bump and run, but just didn’t have the car to do it. He was able to get to Harvick’s bumper in turn 2, but Harvick’s car was fast enough that Earnhardt simply couldn’t hit him hard enough to make the bump and run stick. Could Earnhardt have resorted to dirty driving to get the win? Maybe, if he’d been able to outjump Harvick into Turn 1, get the nose of his car in and put Harvick in the wall.
I believe this video proves the reporter's point:

Blaney was coming in in front of Stewart and (I assume) no one told the #14 to check up at the last second, No ones fault really, just one of those things that happens when essentially the whole field tries to get onto and off of pit road at the same time.

Well, I don't know how wrecked he is, but in the camera shot looking straight at the nose of the car, I could see a considerable amount of his right front tire.

I'm thinking of getting NASCAR's in-car scanner. i had TrackPass last year... waste -- but the scanner was great... you can scan all drivers -- or listen to the NASCAR officials -- It's hysterical when the officials cut in and warn or penalize drivers

Gordon switched crew chiefs (Steve Letarte) with Junior this year. Their chemistry wasn't right.

Also, Junior is driving Jeff's cars from last season.

Alan Gustafon (sp) was the chief chief for the #5 car when Kyle drove for Hendricks -- I believe Alan was Mark Martin's CC last year....
