They haven't sniffed SBs but because of said qbs, they've been and will be contenders each year.

And the reason, IMO, they haven't "sniffed" a SB, isn't because they have to play to such an elite level that the margin of error is paper thin its just nearly impossible to keep up.

Obviously not.

But that also shows that you can't just have a good team, you have to get upper level qb play to win SBs.

He's not putting up elite numbers. I'd be surprised if he puts up 4100 yards and 27 touchdowns.

He's a very good QB, but I don't think he'll ever be "elite". In my mind, elite is top 5. I don't think Flacco in his career will ever be a top 5 QB.

I would say the rule changes making things tougher on defenses to cover the WR and the inability to touch the QB without a flag making defenses less aggressive has leveled things off some.

He was a great player on some all-time great teams.
