I was glad it was finally over. They better sniff some salts before the next game, they need to wake up a bit..

Pasta Little Brioni 05-18-2016 08:03 AM

Everything was flat about that game from the opening puck drop....weird

Mother****erJones 05-18-2016 07:48 PM

Huge goal for the Pens to go into the third. Could be a lot worse than 1-0 but I'll take it. Big momentum goal there.

Mother****erJones 05-18-2016 08:37 PM

3-1 Sid the Kid with a goal to make it a 2 goal lead!

Mother****erJones 05-18-2016 08:39 PM

4-1 Kunitz just seals this game. 2-1 lead now for Pens. Awesome game. Take back the momentum

Pasta Little Brioni 05-18-2016 09:34 PM

You should be taking care of that short handed team

MMXcalibur 05-18-2016 09:41 PM

The 4-2 scoreline doesn't do the Penguins justice on just how thorough of an asswhoopin' that was.

After that display, I would expect the Bolts to come back with a vengeance for Game 4.

Pasta Little Brioni 05-18-2016 09:44 PM

You will probably win in 5. That's not near the opponent a team like the Sharks are. The East blows.

Lucky for you that the NHL agrees with you.

When the Penguins hoist the Cup, they're putting an asterisk next to the title in the record books with the footnote reading "* - Did not have as hard of a road to travel as in the West".

Pasta Little Brioni 05-18-2016 09:52 PM

We'll see if the pens are fortunate enough to make it to the cup, can the West keep up with Pittsburghs speed. Kessel is playing out of his mind and Crosby is getting hot. Having to go through the Rangers and Lundvquist, the Presidents Cup Caps and the Bolts is no easy task. May not be the toughest gauntlet but it's not like what Lebron has to do in the NBA's East. There's at least good competition. Keep in mind they're doing this with a young backup goalie.

No shit. Pittsburgh should just pack it in. Might as well not even try because the East is so weak.

Chiefs4TheWin 05-19-2016 07:19 PM

I guess I'll hang out here and watch these superior West teams play for the Stanley Cup. I hear they trot it out immediately after this series is over.

No kidding. Just pack it in **** it. How in the world would the Pens beat the choke artist blues or sharks?

GloryDayz 05-19-2016 08:30 PM

The Blues are simply being out-classed, out-skated, out-muscled, and out-hockey'd by the Sharks.

Playing Allen over Elliott paid off tonight and it's good to see the Blues return a slap in the face with a kick in the groin in return.

Not at all. Out enjoying at watch parties more than likely. When they play aggressive, they are the best team in hockey.

MMXcalibur 05-22-2016 12:37 AM

I'm confident the Penguins will come out and exert their will upon the Lightning. After a loss and particularly after one they've gotten their asses handed to them, they come out and play a solid game.

I'll leave the Fleury/Murray decision to Sullivan and won't complain either way, but if it were me: I'd give Murray another go at it. If the team goes down 3-2, then entertain Fleury in Game 6.

Pasta Little Brioni 05-22-2016 05:31 AM

You will be head banging to DubyaK. Don't worry dude.

GloryDayz 05-22-2016 08:09 AM

On a scale of 1 - 100, I level-200 regret spending money to see SKC pussy-up the pitch last night instead of staying home and watching the Blues. The best part of the SKC game was getting updates that the Blues were playing like men (unlike the SKC chicks).

OnTheWarpath15 05-22-2016 04:16 PM

So, anyone wondering why Tarasenko went to the bench late in the first in obvious pain, and McGuire saying his ribs were hurt?

Here's why.

Pens getting away with murder. Trip missed in what should have led to a two minute five on three. Then a blatant high stick cheap shot right in front of the ref. Reminds me of the treatment Chicago got in round one.

It was time for Fleury IMO. Clap for the backup and third stringer for keeping this team alive. Sucks to lose Daley for the postseason.

Well they made up for it. They missed a pens player dragged to the ice by a lightning and no penalty.

No goalie would have stopped that go ahead goal in the 3rd, but I agree Elliot has earned the right to be the goalie the rest of the way.

Tarasenko has 0 points in 5 games, at least start Reaves in his place to bash Thornton's head into the ice if that is all Vladdy is gonna give you.

Besides they aren't calling the first cheap shot on the Sharks so Reaves may as well impale Pavelski

Leave it to ol Ken to **** this series up. Elliot has had 1 or 2 bad games the entire 2016 playoffs and gets the bench when his team lays a complete egg in Game 3.

Nice 3rd period last night by the way. Especially loved Pietrangelo just standing there with the ****ing puck behind his own goal.

Hopefully that move was just dumb enough to finish Hitch off.

The guy's been looking for ways to blow this run up for most of the series. He still can't get them to actually show up at home and/or has no idea how to utilize having the last change.

That Allen move might be the single dumbest decision I've ever seen from a hockey coach. Rolling with him in game 5 was series suicide. I disagree but understand why you try it for game 4. It was foolhardy but it maybe sorta worked. You hit on 16 and got a 4. Then the ****ing guy hit on 20 when he sent Allen out there for game 5.

Just an awful, awful coaching decision by a guy that's pretty obviously run out of ideas at this point.

CaliforniaChief 05-24-2016 10:23 AM

I don't follow the Blues like most of you, but I've always respected Pietrangelo's game a lot...but on the EN goal, yeah...that just seemed so bizarre. Not just the standing there while the puck was taken from him, but then him just turning and watching as the action continued, making no effort to defend the net.

San Jose's going to be really really tough to beat in Game 6. I'm pulling for you guys, but that might have just been the dagger.

You gotta go to Elliott, and then you have to hope to God that Tarasenko awakens and takes over a game like he can.

kcpasco 05-24-2016 10:39 AM

Petro has played a ton of minutes this postseason, he looked worn down last night.

He's playing close to 30 minutes a game which is the most of any player. The Blues are playing the max amount of games in every series so far, that has finally caught up.

kcpasco 05-24-2016 10:48 AM

I think the only hope for the Blues this series, is the 2 games allowed Elliot to get some needed rest and Tank snaps out of whatever funk he is in.

I won't blame it on choking this year, this team really is battling, I just think SJ is just slightly better.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I definitely did not agree with Allen in Game 4 but my friend that got me into the Blues 10 years ago argued that while it wasn't fair to Elliot, maybe it would fire the team up a bit for that game. It was desperate move that worked, though I personally don't think Allen in goal made a bit of difference. Starting him again in Game 5 was just flat out stupid. While I'm hopeful we can win Games 6 and 7, I'm also hopeful that Ken is axed should we lose this series.

Mother****erJones 05-24-2016 08:46 PM

Man it could not be any dumber. 3-0 and dominating them Kessel has it bounce off him and gives them their first goal. Now they get another. 3-2. Hold this ****ing lead
