Cris Carter said he would be shocked if Mahomes doesn’t play

RunKC 10-24-2019 08:48 AM

Is Chris Carter reeruned? Did he get smashed in his dome too much?

So he admits his right ankle and shoulder gives him daily problems in his life to this day because he rushed back from injuries?

Uh that’s ****ing stupid. Yeah let’s risk the franchise having long term pain in his knee due to rushing this shit

O.city 10-24-2019 08:50 AM

Sometimes you gotta protect players from themselves.

I don't understand why this is such a hard concept for people to get.

The Franchise 10-24-2019 08:54 AM

There is no way that Mahomes should be playing in the next two games at a minimum. I don’t care if he says he’s ready to go. Sit down and rest kid.

ralittleus 10-24-2019 08:55 AM

his mobility looked a little limited and he looked like the leg was a little stiff from the video I saw. I don't expect him to play

He looks like he's been cleared to lightly jog and make slight movements. That's nowhere near close to being cleared for full practice or games.

That’s probably because of the knee brace he was wearing. Cris Carter is hell bent that Mahomes will play

He has to be medically cleared to play, I don't understand why that's hard for people to understand.

You think anyone wants to be the Dr that signed off on Mahomes playing even though it was against their own advice and he does get hurt worse?

Chris Carter doesn't know any more about that possibility than you do. It's just an opinion.

Ish

Carter was a NFL player, and his argument for him practicing so early in the week does make sense. They didn't hold him out till Friday...

We will see but I TRUST MAHOMES

MAHOMO 4 LIFE! 10-24-2019 09:11 AM

Schefter says he thinks Mahomes probably won’t play but he doesn’t know. He said he wouldn’t be surprised to see him play next week vs the Vikings. Said the injury has been a week to week thing

O.city 10-24-2019 09:12 AM

Yeah, even if he says he feels good and the docs think he could go i'd probably hold him out this week. Just be cautious with it and go next week.

If he plays and takes a shot to the knee by either smith, it’s probably gonna end his season and possibly effect his career mobility.

Like we’ve been saying since it happened, the coaches need to protect Mahomes from himself.

Personally, I’d sit him the next 2 games and get him ready to go against the Titans.

That gives Fisher time to be fully in the swing, Watkins back, the defense even more tuned in.

Just a better way to bring him back.

Even if that means we lose the next 2 games, that’s the best path for the Chiefs long term future.

I can’t fathom why any fan would even want him to play this game knowing that it could cause long term issues.

It’s one ****ing game against an NFC opponent. One of the most meaningless games on the schedule.

Hammock Parties 10-24-2019 10:30 AM

I don't know if many of you have noticed this as I have for weeks now. Patrick Mahomes has a little bit of Valgus knees. If you look at his legs when he is in shotgun waiting for the hike directly from behind, they come inward. Valgus knees usually comes from having weak hip flexors. Patrick is built different than many others. I think he uses this to his advantage. Them weak hip flexors allow him to contort himself at the waist and hips a lot so that he can throw crazy good off balance passes. So with that comes in my guess loose ligaments and tendons in the knees. This is why I think he was able to dislocate his patella easily without much damage. I believe the supporting ligaments aren't firm. I noticed this with his knees months ago and thought he should wear knee braces as a cautious measure. Just something I noticed a long time ago. And before you say bs about credentials I'll beat you to it. I do have degree(s), and I have degree in Kiniesiology/Sport Science.

They were saying if Pat had thrashed around after he hurt it he might have needed surgery. Him staying still is what saved him.

Whats trash about it? Fully healed the chance of re dislocating it is about 30% and that percentage goes higher if he hasn't rehabbed it enough. Also it seems having surgery decreases the odds of dislocating it again by about 10% and the surgery has a very high success rate. From what ive read it seems that most people don't need to have surgery until the 2nd dislocation or if they are just prone to dislocating their knee cap.

He said "I agree with their plan to do surgery after."

They said they never talked about surgery and also said that they were not going to do it in the off season even.

So yea he doesn't know wtf he is talking about there. Oh and saying there has to be damage when he hasn't seen the MRI which he said before even. Also they said there was NO damage hence everything that has happened to this point. Just STFU you don't know shit Chao. He is openly saying things that are the opposite of the FACTS that have been said about it.

Its like I know people can't believe he is back on the practice field, myself included, but people are just denying what the team and team doctors have outright said.

Go with it and what they have said and what is in front of you and that is that its a possibility he might be fine and play this Sunday.

Chiefzilla will be here soon to tell us that’s not the case and the Chiefs ****ed up with Houston, Watkins, Fisher, and Hali!

I never said the Chiefs have ****ed anything up with Mahomes so far.

I don't think I'm talking out of left field that our handling of fisher, Watkins, and even the Clark physical was questionable.

I am starting to feel more confident, especially after watching today's video.

Honestly if he wasn't playing:

1. Why not rest it and make sure your good for next week.

2. Why take reps with the 2's....

He still has 2.5 days

Pretty sure he is gonna play.

Because getting light duty work out there is basically rest because it's controlled rehab. I would agree that it does seem like he's further along than we thought he'd be a week ago.

Still he's getting the 2 Reps dude....

He could do that on the 3 or 4s. Shurmur should be getting the 2's if moores starting.

I think that tells you all you need to know,

Chiefs have an elite medical staff.

That’s because he’s wearing a knee brace

He should wear them on both knees for the rest of his career. Those NFL braces for the knees are so good these days, they dont limit mobility but still protect the knee. Brady isn't mobile but he has worn the braces on both knees since Pollard and has said many times in interviews he doesnt even notice the braces in games.

suzzer99 10-24-2019 03:38 PM

Ryan on RGR was saying it's not uncommon for players to wear them the rest of their careers after this injury.

He made it sound like Mahomes wearing a brace the rest of the season is a foregone conclusion.

Don't know why they don't anyways. They don't look constricting at all.

#precaution

I love how in todays age, people that don't know more than the average CPer are quoted as "experts"

Well it does help when you're a freaking statue in the pocket. Brady has no mobility to limit...

He's an athletic trainer and said he's coached a lot of athletes with that injury. He can also talk medical gibberish about ligaments and stuff all day. I think he at least knows a little.

Warrick 10-24-2019 07:45 PM

Bayless dumbasses earlier this week, and now you have a bunch of Whitlock dumbasses... Typical CP rhetoric BS going on here.

Indeed. That dude ain't rolling out avoiding pressure and making throws across his body...no comparison. That dude could play with orthopedic shoes and not notice the difference.
