The #Bears have agreed to terms on a 1-year deal with former Super Bowl hero RB Damien Williams, source said. Lots of familiarity, as he knows Matt Nagy’s offense from KC, and he was OC Bill Lazor with the #Dolphins.
I’m sure Dante84 will make a thread about it |

Cowboys release Aldon Smith
|
Seeing talk on Twitter about Aldon Smith because the Cowboys said they're moving on. He obviously has a history, but I wonder what he'd have to offer over someone like Ingram? Smith seemingly had a better 2020 than Ingram and at his size I think he might be a better fit in our 4-3.
|
Isn't Aldon Smith like one strike away from being kicked out of football?

Aldon Smith is neither the absolute athletic or mental freak show he was in the past.
He has sought help for his demons and seemingly gotten them in check. He played welll for the Cowboys but seemed to wear down as the year went on. He’d be a solid LE in the this defense and offer some upside/pop. He’s a Iowa/Kansas City guy originally... |

Yeah I think I’m ok not going along that
|
Chiefs are drafting a WR somewhere in the first 2 rounds. You can pretty much lock that in.

Chiefs need a WR in the worst way

I'm told there was another suitor offering MORE money to T.Y. Hilton, but he walked away from it to stay in Indy. That team was NOT the Chiefs, per source.

Golden Tate?

Nobody wants to play for the chiefs after 2 straight Super Bowl appearances. WTF?
|
Some of these guys are really ****ing stupid. Good job Juju. Take less and risk losing it all on one play. Eric Fisher is the prime example.
Take the money while it’s there, especially if you are coming off a rookie contract. |
I’d bring Sammy back now
|
That list of WR's is gross.
|
At this point I’d look at Golden Tate on a deal + a draft pick

ADAM HUMPHRIES IS THE GUY WE NEED!!

I'd just see what Sammy wants and draft someone.
Need to attack the defense with free agency pretty hard. |
To be honest, WR isn’t really a position where I want a stop gap.
This team needs to be drafting and developing WR’s every year. Draft somebody on day 2 and re-sign Sammy if you must have a veteran. |
I’d much prefer they add some guys on defense and go offense heavy early in the draft. Then get an EDGE, CB, LB, and S in the mid-late rounds.
This team had success finding defensive talent in that range last year (and UDFA). Do it again. |

I'd rather have Golden Tate. |

Interesting that the leftover Chiefs WRs are left standing around with a bunch of trash.

The Ravens can’t get a WR. |
RIght now our current WR Depth chart is Hill, Hardman, Pringle, Callaway

Not to mention every guy they’ve been after is an X, which Hardman obviously is not. |
Haven’t you guys learned? We’ve given Sammy like 300 million dollars to make like 10 above averages catches since he’s been here and any injury keeps him out a month or 2.
I’d rather have Antonio Brown. |
Kinda hard to develop players when we use so many roster spots up on players that serve no purpose.

I’ve never said Hardman was an X. |
They must really like Callaway. To be fair he showed a ton of promise as a rookie. Andy likes those type of risky guys.
If it’s Callaway and a high draft pick then fine, but I’d like to see another vet WR. |

So, no “about” doesn’t work either. |
Sorry updated depth chart is Hill, Hardman, Pringle, Callaway, Kemp, Dieter

Added all teh smoke about the Chiefs looking to add weapons, yeah, I'd say there aren't ready to rely on Hardman too awful much. |

Now that there is no decent free agent WR available, I'm thinking it is a pretty safe opinion to say that this team's free agency approach has been a failure on the WR front. It is also still looking grim on the LT front. And there has been no improvement on D either. I know people keep saying there is still time to sign people, but the decent options are all just about gone. I'm really not sure why this team is saving money but I'm hoping there is something big coming that we cannot see right now. And yes, this is a little doom and gloom, but I just don't see the options available to change things. I'm not going to keep harping on it, but the approach this team is taking this offseason has been extremely disappointing. I don't care how great Veach has been the last couple seasons, that doesn't mean we cannot opine that this offseason is looking like a failure. Hopefully, Mahomes can make scrubs like Pringle and Hardman look better than they have been in the past with hopefully better Oline protection. Let's hope. |

Hardly counts for anything Pringle and Hardman better get their shit together, or it's a problem. |

The Chiefs essentially have two top 5 WR’s. They aren’t relying on whoever they sign or draft to be a “big contributor”, especially early on. They will have plenty of time to learn and get their feet wet. The hope is that they can be a contributor down the stretch, which is entirely possible. It doesn’t matter whether you sign a veteran or draft a guy, they’re still behind Kelce, Hill, and probably CEH in the pecking order. |

Also, too much is made of the Chiefs offense being too difficult for a rookie WR to contribute.
Hardman and Tyreek both had 500+ yards and multiple TD’s as rookies in this offense. And those are 2 guys that were still learning the ****ing position more or less the offense. |
