I admire the honesty.

At the rate he was going, he could have easily ended up in prison.

He needed a "come to Jesus" and he got one.

I think that's kinda 'maqe's point, though.

That's the kind of thing that someone who NEEDED to be knocked down a peg or two would've done.

I don't think he's a sympathetic figure in all of this - because even AFTER this, he had some pretty damn odd decisions that showed a clear maturity issue.

Something needed to change.

But you can still appreciate that it did and he now finds himself on the verge of fulfilling a lifelong dream.

Of course. You kind of need to **** up to even have a redemption arc. But there's a ton of folks here that STILL want to hand wave away what he did and act like he was a victim of unfortunate circumstances, which is complete and utter bullshit.
