ChiefsPlanet - Chiefs Earl Thomas a longshot to be a Chief

I would hate to lose two picks this year, but for ET is would probably be worth it. Veech has the tendency to burn picks moving up, so once again it would be a very skimpy draft.

The Seahawks could have given him permission to negotiate, which would allow him to do things like take a physical, while they're also negotiating terms on the trade. It's certainly possible.

That being said, him being in KC for a physical mid-week isn't at all likely I don't think.

I have a very solid source that says Thomas was in KC on Tuesday for a physical. Seattle asking for a 1st rounder plus a player to go with. Thomas wants extension 4 years asking 12 mil per. Nobody has really reported this yet.

We didn't get a 1st rounder for Peters, we wouldn't even give up a 1st for Alex- so I don't see this happening at all. We need that 1st Rounder for Fatty to protect Mahomes or a CB to replace Scrandrip.
