Now the ESPN guys are pretending there isn't a bias against G5 teams.

Committee wanted to avoid the Alabama-Georgia rematch.

MarkDavis'Haircut 12-05-2021 11:29 AM

Are people that naive to think that the CFP doesn't play games???

George Liquor 12-05-2021 11:32 AM

Yay

Looks like we get a Bama/Georgia rematch in the final

Not

I wasn't worried since the odds were so low, but I am really happy Michigan wasn't placed #1. I actually think they may be the best team but that spartan loss was terrible. Going in #2 means they have something to play for, a chip, rather than sitting happy at the top, which usually ends badly for the wolverines.

I feel like if Alabama had lost, they would have deserved to be #4 (given Oklahoma State lost and Notre Dame was idle.... but, given Georgia's only loss all season was to #3, I personally wouldn't say that's enough to push Georgia down more than a couple spots.

I'm sure there's bias towards the big conferences, but being undefeated going into the SEC Championship game is far more impressive than beating Notre Dame a few months ago and then a top 20 team last night.

Cincinnati still might be very good and they'll at least have a chance to prove it.

Alabama vs Georgia for the National Championship.

UGA wins in the rematch.

Nobody wants to see a Georgia-Bama rematch right away.

Michigan wants to prove they can hang with the elite SEC teams.

Cincy wants to prove they belong in the Playoff.

Both will get the chance right away. It’s all on them. No excuses.

If we do in fact get a rematch of Georgia and Bama in the national Title game ultimately, then it will just prove once again why the SEC is considered the premier football conference in college football.

bama lost to an unranked team…and took 4 OTs to win another. there is bias towards the SEC and it shows. Michigan’s only loss is to a then top 10 team in MSU and just won their conference game against the #13 team by a score of 42-3….and gets jumped.

Yeah, out of all the potential drama and what-ifs, Oklahoma State's loss and Alabama's win made it pretty straightforward.

Michigan is really the only team that can complain as they'll most likely have to play both SEC teams now as opposed to getting Cincinnati first.

Don’t forget they just created a bowl game out of thin air last week so all teams could participate.

Prepare to continue to underachieve. He can recruit but his coaching leaves much to be desired.
