It's clear Dorsey needed to go, even more than I ever thought. But this revisionist history of laying everything on him to make us feel like our owner, scouts, and coaches are all now 100% competent and absolved of this rosters weaknesses is silly. |
What’s Andy Reid’s track record?
Has he ever traded a dude who went on to be awesome? |

It’s a complete fantasy and it won’t happen. But it did with Peters. I can only imagine the things that have happened for him to be available. |
Yeah, I mean jesus if John fu@king Middlekauff says so it must be true. He's the Raiders post game dude.
Come on people, you have to be smarter than this. |
What if.....we get Aaron Donald? He’s up for a contract soon right? Rams have a bunch of big money players who’s deals are coming up in the next 2 seasons. They can’t keep everyone. We have a glaring need for a DT. Maybe Veech is a genius and he basically traded for Fuller to replace Peters?
I know this is a pipe dream. But what if? Would it change your feelings on losing Peters? |
If only one team wanted him, why the urgency to move now? It's in Marcus's best interest to start rehabbing his image and you're going to likely get the best out of him this year.
This is selling low 101. |
This thread is going far too fast for me to read it all, despite there apparently being no information at all, as far as I can tell.

If nobody was interested the mistake wasn’t made this week, it was made when he was drafted.

The Chiefs had Peters on the block for 3 weeks and by all accounts, only the Rams and 49ers were serious about acquiring him via trade. The 49ers made the most sense to me because they have $77 million in cap room and play in the Bay Area, Peters home. They also have a bevy of picks, so for the Rams deal to go through means that the 49ers didn't even want him that badly. The NFL is a small world, people. Very few agents, very few players, very few coaches. Everyone knows everything. The mere fact that 29 other teams had no interest in trading for a 25 year old Pro Bowl CB speaks volumes about Peters reputation. |
People need to understand that there was absolutely no scenario that Peters was going to be on the team this year. There was only one team who was interested at all. He would have been released otherwise.
Agree with the Chiefs on that approach or don’t, but that’s the reality here. |
