My wife once made Hamburger Helper by putting the raw meat, water and contents of the box in the pan all at the same time.

but hey...at least once it was good and cooked ALL the necessary contents were there! matter of fact, I'm guessing your helper turned out better than macaroni & cheese powder.
that's pretty damn funny though.

Nope. It was inedible.

My brother and his (now-ex) wife decided to make fettuccine alfredo. The recipe called for three (I think) cloves of garlic.

Well, both of them were rather inexperienced cooks at the time... and neither of them knew the difference between a clove and a bulb of garlic. You can probably figure out what went wrong.

What was really particularly funny about this was she cooked it wrong after we had a fairly big fight because I "didn't trust" her to cook it right. She has a tendency to not read instructions, and I was just trying to make sure she did... she said, and I quote, "I know how to make Hamburger Helper!!!"

So I left her alone. And this is what she does.

ROFL... yeeeesh

I had my local cellar order me a few bottles of Benton Lane Pinot Noir. I was able to open one of them over the weekend and really, really enjoyed it. Loved the hints of cherry and vanilla. Good find.

I need to go get another bottle of that. Last time I was there, they only had the limited edition 2008 available (at like $60/bottle).

The same thing happened to me, and I had just re-added it and made it the #1 priority. Frickin Directv. A couple of my shows aren't recording, and my brother's wife watches General Hospital and Vampire Diaries and they haven't been recording either. Something is messed up. I deleted everything and re-added them all. Still nothing is recording.

I ended up having to download this episode with a torrent from Pirate Bay. It was 1080p and commercial free. Pretty cool, but I didn't get to watch it Sunday night like I wanted. I was so looking forward to watching it, and it wasn't on my DVR. I just watched it a few minutes ago. Pretty good episode. I enjoyed that there was a lot of zombie killing and some gore.

Absolutely. Once the world ended, I'd fight tooth and nail for a can of Dinki-Di.

KC_Connection 10-16-2012 10:29 PM

I've been waiting a long time for Merle to return to this show (not just the hallucinatory version). Hope that happens soon.

Woodchuck 10-18-2012 02:12 PM

I love the show... but, why would you take the old man / doctor on the scouting trip?
