I think Odom would be best off taking the Memphis HC gig when Fuente leaves for wherever, which is absolutely going to happen.

Memphis media grilled him about the VT gig, along with others, and he had the worst poker face.

MU needs a candidate with some seasoning. Think a lot of hopes about Odom being able to maintain Pinkel status quo is similar to people hoping that Gunther Cunningham could keep Martyball alive.

Also lol at souf cack media blowing its wad and ****ing everything up. Tards

Chip Kelly might be available.

Jerm 11-25-2015 02:17 PM

Chip Kelly is gonna go to USC, Texas, or LSU/UGA when those inevitably open up...

BryanBusby 11-25-2015 03:20 PM

They wouldn't pay the 6 mil a year he would demand.

Barry Odom took a defense that lost its two best pass rushers, its best DL before the season began, and its best safety, and actually made it better despite an offense that is historically bad.

On top of that, he's actually pretty highly regarded as a recruiter.

He might not work out, but the Cunningham comparison doesn't hold water.

Any of you coming to Fayetteville for the game? Happy to give food and drink advice if so.

A lot of that credit would probably go to Kul, who probably leaves if Odom is promoted.

I don't see enough to make me think that Odom is ready to vw a freshman coach in the SEC. That's a really hard task.

Gunther probably wasn't the best exact comparison, but it seems the best argument for him has been maintain status quo. That's a decent stretch.

Just make sure you avoid whatever backwater hole crazycoffee patrols on your way down there. He'd probably t-bone you with an MRAP and then 'nade your vehicle for driving within two feet of the center line.

You're right that it's not a slam dunk hire. There are risks with all these guys, and it's clear that Herman is holding out for when Texas likely opens up next year (which is probably a smart financial decision and makes him look like a little less of a mercenary).

Babers is too old and although BG's offense is great, I think a lot of that is due to having a RS Sr. QB like Matt Johnson in the fold. Their recruiting hasn't been as good as one would hope, even after the last two successful years.

Ruhle has had all of one successful season and it's hard to determine if that's the result of him legitimately building a program or just luck, as most coaches in CFB can easily have a good team every 3-4 years if they aren't in a major conference.

Fuente is probably headed to VT.

Matt Campbell might be the guy. He's young and he seems to have done a good job in recruiting at Toledo, according to the services.

And I want no part of Miles or Richt, who will cost a ton and who are over the hill.

I don't envy Rhoades. I also know that "Mizzou" is likely to happen, which would mean us hiring some shit****, like Rhoads of ISU.

We will be driving up from my mom's in Central Arkansas on Friday morning. I may end up going if we get back early enough but probably not. I hoe you and your son have a great time. I'm honestly a little nervous about this game. Tigers should play hard for Pinkel and our defense is awful.

Check out the lights on the square though rain is going to suck. Sounds like you may just be making a single day of it though?

I'm driving down Friday afternoon and staying in a hotel. Shoot me a PM if you want to grab a beer.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly. Hopefully they stay out of Rhoades' way and let him do his thing. He's good at it.

I think it's Odom, with minimal holdover. Maybe Walters, Ford and Hill.

Alex Grinch or Demontie Cross back as the DC.

Lots of turnover on O side.

I absolutely hate the way the DEs play at Mizzou, scheme-wise. But you can't argue with Kul's success, so it's sad to hear he probably won't be staying.

You can't have Grinch. Big Joe Salave'a physically won't let him leave.
