Sorry man. I can’t get behind this. You’re not adding by getting rid of your best corner

Reality is this. We are worse now than two days ago. Remains to be seen if we get anything back that can help fix this hole or if we need to use our already limited cap space and low picks to fix this hole. If we do that's less we have to fix the other holes.

No doubt about it.

I'm willing to wait to see the final product, but they now have to get 2 additional corners because I don't think Nelson is worth jackshit, along with more pass rushers and defensive lineman. A legitimate 2nd TE wouldn't hurt along with a veteran QB.

There are tons of holes and while they did add Amerson and Fuller, corner has now shifted to a weakness, again.

It’s just weird that the compensation hasn’t been released yet. The Chiefs PR department is probably working overtime on how they are gonna spin this. I expect about 800 articles to drop on how Peters wasn’t a good fit for the Chiefs going forward. The window licking fans will eat it up and ask for more.

Yuuuuuup.

Did you read SAUTO and Doomy's posts about Peters locker room tirade during the Jets game?

That alone, besides the fact that 29 other teams weren't interested in trading for Marcus Peters, should put any notion that the Peters wasn't a headcase to rest.

Football players don't exist in a vacuum. Just because a guy's great on the field don't mean he can't be a headache to manage off the field.

the niners backed out.

They weren't interested at the end

Go to Chiefs.com or the Chiefs Twitter account and link us to an official announcement.

Hint: You won't find an official announcement.

The trade was leaked to Terez Paylor.

The Chiefs organization hasn't said a word about the trade.

My point is they dont have to wait, they are choosing to wait. Points towards something happening in the back ground that isn't finalized.

Well, that's just ridiculous close-mindedness.

Great baseball and basketball players are traded all the time and teams don't suffer from those personnel loses and in many cases, the team improves.

hehe... you just put Jimmy Garappolo in the same sentence as those other nobody's. Why do Jimmy like that?

:D

That's my issue. I hesitate to say it not knowing everything but we waited until he had no value to trade him. If they have the amazing insight behind the scenes then trade him before he is of no value.

Issues better have been a massive impact on other players doing their job and not just the coaches wanting a headache, one they brought in and eventually enabled, gone.

Yep. No way would they make that trade. If they wanted to trade Donald (which they dont) they would be taking offers from 28 teams, excluding their division rivals. Not just the Chiefs, and certainly not for just Marcus Peters.

Peters is a great DB, but he does carry some risk whether some want to admit it or not which lowers his value. Donald is considered by some to be the most dominant D player in the game right now. For a Donald Peters trade to happen it would be the Chiefs giving up additional draft picks. Just saying, if they wanted to move Donald they would get a hell of a lot more than Marcus Peters.

This was a Chiefs initiated trade with limited interest.
The only interest for Peters was from the Rams, less from 49ers, with the Raiders being excluded from participating for obvious reasons.

And you know this how?

The League Year doesn't open until March 14, 2018.

While teams can discuss trades, those trades cannot be officially announced by the franchises involved until the New League Year opens.

That's why you won't find an Official Announcement of the Smith or Peters trade on the Chiefs website but you will find press releases regarding the release of Revis and DJ.

We waited WAY too long to discipline him for his shit, and now it's biting us firmly in the ass. We most likely aren't even getting compensation worthy of the original pick we took him with, let alone an All Pro CB who won DROY. Peters definitely deserves the flak he's getting, but Reid signed off on bringing him to the team knowing his issues. He completely and utterly failed when it comes down to it. All you had to do was sit his ass for a game after he blew up in week 5, and we likely avoid most of this shitstorm. Instead, Reid and Sutton stood there like a couple of gutless cowards and took it, empowering his reeruned behavior.

Yeah, it was that easy.

Most people are still looking at this deal as if we are just trading away Marcus Peters the player. If that were the case, he’d never be traded. If he was, it’d probably take two 1st rounders and a 2nd. Something extreme.

The reality is we are trading away Marcus Peters the player AND the person. And that absolutely kills the value. If we get a 1st, people need to be very thankful.

Hamas is just a whiny bitch that only comes around when negative shit happens. He clearly has an agenda.

Did you see him posting with excitement like the rest of us after the Alex trade?

I would think the league wasn't terribly pleased with how the Alex Smith deal went down, (Fuller finding out via Twitter) and has asked both teams to zip it up.
