Handshakes are not binding. If I just fleeced a team I’m going public as fast as possible.

It took UW 3 years to tire of Peters' bullshit and dump him from the team.

It took KC 3 years to tire of Peters' bullshit and trade him.

Think about how bad it has to get behind the scenes to want to OUTRIGHT CUT a star player on a rookie deal, much less trade him.

They wanted him gone, and they wanted him gone ASAP. Tells me that things had gotten beyond toxic.

And you would be burning a bridge, which smart/good GM’s won’t do.

Doomy says they almost cut him during the season last year. Gotta try and let that sink in.

In that scenario does kc hold no responsibility in waiting until Peters value completely rotted out? Yes that's Monday morning quarterbacking from me but that's because I didn't have all the perspective they did.

Seems like we waited until we were ten feet from the ground to pull the rip cord.

That's why I posted OUTRIGHT CUT in all caps.

Jets game was Week 13. Past the trade deadline.

Yup.

This is a complete failure. They knew what they were getting, and assured us they could handle it.

Then they can’t.

It is absolute shit.

If you can’t though, just move on

Sunk cost fallacy and all

Reid is supposed to be a player's coach. Phil Jackson won multiple championships with this

Why is that the bubbling point? Nothing happened before that? If this is a two month issue and not a two year issue it makes me fall back even more to Bad Guys logic.

That’s a player’s league. Totally different deal. I could coach the Warriors to a title these days.

That's another reason I'm surprised people want to blame Dorsey but not Reid. No way Reid didn't think he could handle him. Looks like they realized to late he was wrong and we therefore got nothing for him.

I’m sure that when his value was at it’s highest, we had no intention of trading him. We were probably still considering a long term deal. Then it all went to hell fast.

Point still holds that Andy feels he can handle personalities, and has. He was wrong here and kc waited too long or realized too late and here we are.

Fair. But perhaps in-between when it was at it's highest and lowest?
