When you insist on only throwing two pitches, it isn't hard to tip your pitches.

It literally becomes picking up FB spin vs. breaking ball spin.

I don't know what they're doing with the guy. He made some steps forward last year just showing it was a viable pitch that had to be considered.

But this year? He's pretty much throwing the two-seamer and slider and throwing them almost exclusively down and away.

It's a super weird approach and I don't get it. I can't imagine there's real data that supports this approach.
