Weirdly this forever damaged JoePos' legacy as well.

It is a little worrisome that Leipold has had him as his OC throughout 90% of his run from Wiscy-Whitewater, Buffalo and now to Kansas. Odd he hasn't left for somewhere before this really.

I bet we could get Brian Ferentz for pennies on the dollar!

Apparently, KU made a huge offer to keep him. Penn State is going to make him one of the highest paid coordinator’s in the country.

If he gets that offense going, he’ll be a hot HC candidate soon.

Damn, this is why I was so certain he would not leave. Sucks, but as others have mentioned, it's a really good sign for the KU program overall.

Guess we'll find out soon enough whether it's Lance, the staff working under Kotelnicki, or was really him all along. I'm guessing that the talent we have on offense will attract a good hire to replace, though Lance may also stay in house and give someone currently on staff a shot. I saw yesterday that they promoted a couple of guys to "Co-coordinators".

I just can't bring myself to be upset with this. At the end of the day KU football is better because we have more talent, specifically at the QB position. While our OC certainly takes some credit for our success, he also had to take some blame for the losses. We didn't win this year with smoke and mirrors and covering up huge holes with masterful game plans. We actually had real talent and our record reflects that. If LL keeps recruiting well and we are winning more than losing in the portal then KU football will be fine. If we go back to the days of having a QB who can't throw a 5 yard out route consistently then it doesn't matter who the OC is.

It’s official: 8-4 KU will head to Phoenix to take on 9-4 UNLV in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl!

Kind of a shitty bowl.I was hoping for a power 5 opponent. Oh well.

Got my tickets. Going to take my son - driving in from Orange County. Even got a hotel room for $101.

Seems decent enough to me. They weren't gonna do much better in terms of TV than primetime on Dec. 26th with no other competition.

Next year we are going 13-0 and then getting left out of the college football playoff.

It is 12 teams so that would be unlikely.

It's the thought that counts.
