My question is this... between Smythe and Smith, which QB is most likely to not only get to the playoffs, but win a game or two, between 2013 and 2014?

Also, the Jets offensive line is really good. They played well against Tampa and Geno had time to throw mostly. Great asset going forward for Geno.

I thought it was the proper read. he waited till the receiver came in the window.

I don't know why anyone would make a big deal out of it.

I thought it was a nice pass.

Clearly you're going to construct arguments that favor Alex Smith so why even enter the thread?

How is this relevant?

You are comparing apples to oranges. Its Alex Smith obviously.

Hes on a much better team. Im not going to crown Geno yet because of beating what appears to be an overrated Tampa bay team because they are still starting the wildly erratic and error prone Josh Freeman.

I cant understand it with that guy either. hes so super talented.

I don't think that Geno Smith would win as many games on the Chiefs this year as Alex Smith will.

That's mainly because he is a rookie, who is going to have rookie moments. He would take chances that weren't needed that Alex Smith wont. He would make more highlight plays, but the mistakes that rookies make would be there. Hes aggressive. Really aggressive. Lessons have to be learned.

Obviously, its a hypothetical, but if Geno played for KC, do you think he would likely be able to accomplish those things?

Personally, I have my doubts due to his youth, and I don't want to waste the next two years of our best players careers.

LMAO

Alex Smith isn't winning anything of note here. He is a waste of our time, and their careers.

The fact you don't get that is hilarious.

If Geno turns out to be a good QB who's to say he couldn't take a good team to a SB in his first four or five seasons?

I love your absolutes.

If Geno,
But you are an absolute on Alex Smith.

That's what I find hilarious.

Sorry man but, you're the one that doesn't get it. Smith, Daniels, Reid, and Dorsey are here for at least three years. Geno is absolutely irrelevant to the Chiefs now, and probably forever. The majority don't care if Geno ends up being good because he will never be good as a Chief. If he ends up being good, the Jets will keep him for a long time. If he ever winds up on the Chiefs he will probably have either have sucked in New York and will be our back up. Or, will be old and far past his prime.

It's pretty funny that you would accuse others of wasting their time. You have 156,000 posts and I would bet 3/4 of them are about Geno or QBs.

No, I get it quite clearly.

They're going to be here for a long time. And while Alex Smith is here, which will be 4 or 5 years, there will be NO CHAMPIONSHIP.

That's because we know what Alex Smith is.

He isn't changing.

Geno is still a question mark...who just happened to lead his team to victory in his first start.

I think saying Smith is here for at least 3 years is premature.

It's clear Andy Reid had higher expectations for him than what Alex Smith showed against Jacksonville. If he spends all of this season failing to meet those expectations, I highly doubt Smith is a Chief past the end of this contract.

And that would be the right move. Whether it was worth the picks or not would be up for debate at that point.

We traded two high picks for him.

They're not gonna dump him that quickly.

I don't know. They cut the 6th round FB at first cuts this year. They seem to be fine admiting if they ****ed up.

They aren't going to lose to validate the using of those picks. This isn't your Pioli Chiefs.
