Is that right? The BigXII was completely shut out of the first round?

I mean unless you want to count that shitty trade the Cards made. LMAO

Mafe, Ebiketie, Jackson and Ojabo would all be outstanding complements to Karlaftis.

And still some solid developmental WR options.

Dare I dream that Nakobe Dean keeps sliding?

At this point I’m all in on the defensive makeover. I’d be okay with another edge and DB with the next two picks. Even Dean to play with Bolton and Gay. Or even Travis Jones. If defense can become a strength that would make us even tougher to beat every week.

Metchie or Tolbert tomorrow. Or trade for Shenault on Day 3.

Maybe that Shenault deal is on the table and we go defense the rest of the way?

Man, Ebiketie, Jackson or even Ojabo would be epic.

Sam Williams.

I mean lord, he’s just so damn talented. You pair his ceiling with Karlaftis floor?

I’m ****ing stoked man.

Jalen Tolbert and Menchie might be better than Watson or Pickens.

Two things:
1. Not excited about these draft picks.
2. I don’t know shit.

Those are the same thing though.

Makes me feel better. I’m positive that Veach knows more about a players talent than Booger..

The DL coach the Chiefs hired loves to mix and match and show 3 and 4 man fronts...versatility up front will matter.

Every coach and GM after the draft…. He was our pick. The perfect one for us. We are so happy.

Jalen Tolbert (WR South Alabama) would look good in red & gold. Draft Projection: Rounds 2-3

Next Gen Stats 81

Overview

Silky smooth athlete who has morphed into a monster over the last two seasons. Tolbert is a high-character prospect with skill elements that are dripping with NFL potential. He gave work to everyone he faced, including SEC cover corners at Tennessee. His three-sport background offers unique perspective to pull from at his position, and his route-running gives him a leg up in camp battles early on. His traits, talent and production should push him up the board, and dialing up the competitive spirit could turn him into a top-flight WR2.

Strengths
  • Put together big games against the best opponents.
  • Right at home against SEC cornerbacks (SEE: Tennessee game).
  • Stellar 2021 production, including seven games of 100-plus yards.
  • Shimmies feet and shakes press jam.
  • Fights through grabby coverage.
  • Routes are gliding and smooth.
  • Stick-shift route runner with excellent change of speeds.
  • Powerful pre-break burst fools the coverage.
  • Sinks hips for quick, sharp turns.
  • High school baseball player with natural tracking talent.
  • Frames up his defender and imposes his will on the high-point.

Weaknesses
  • Would like to see better success through catch adversity.
  • Undisciplined drops at times.
  • Can improve deep-ball positioning against physical corners.
  • Could use more fire in his belly on every snap.
  • Gains positioning but doesn't always finish the block.

Hope Veach knows what he's doing.

ForeverChiefs58 04-28-2022 10:09 PM

I loved the picks, and can’t wait to see the rest of the new additions. A+ so far

The chiefs are finally planning on changing their defense in one draft.

Would love to see
S
WR
TE
OL
RB
DT/DE
Another CB/S
A trade for top WR

The Chiefs picked right after them, so I get why not much was said, but uhh...

That Patriots pick of Cole Strange was pretty ****ing Alex Leatherwoody. Might even be worse than Alex Leathewood.

Am I the only one who's going to roast them for their epic arrogant **** up? This just screams Bill thinking he's the only smart person in the entire league and he's going to do everything he can to prove it. I could see Scott Pioli making a pick like this one.

Les Snead and Sean McVeigh laughing at them during the Rams draft party was pretty epic.

“And we spent all that time studying him because we thought he’d be there at 104!!!”

For an NFL front office, that’s a pretty deep burn.
