I have a 65” Samsung smart tv too. The wifi sucks, so I hdmi my laptop to the TV and watch through it. Picture is fine and no buffering.

you are still using wifi, just a different source?

why don't ya just lan cable from the modem to the tv?

my setup is like this:

modem in lounge room next to entertainment center. modem dialed into the gaming pc. pc to tv.

if we didn't have the pc with all the processing power, we would just go from the modem to the tv.

His computer has a better processing unit than whatever is built into his TV. I've had that problem before too when a smart TV gets a little older.

Because I need to lan the modem directly into the computer I use for stock trading, which is downstairs in my office. Thought about running what would need to be about 50' of cable from my office to my family room, but I'm renting the place I'm in now so it's not worth the effort. Didn't want to sell near the top of the market in Colorado and then come here and buy at the top. Renting for another year.
