The credibility is there in Miami for the taking. If Kansas beats Virginia Tech, assuming you think VT is good, they can be a team that turned out to be for real, even though they benefited from a shady bowl selection. If they lose to Virginia Tech, all that anybody is going to say is "Guess we were right about them."

Totally sucks for MU. They beat KU, play a tougher schedule, and at the end of the day...end up going to a non-BCS bowl. This was probably the best case scenario for KU fans after the loss lost weekend. That said....

It is what it is guys. None of this shit matters. Cry me a river about why your team didn't get in or how much of a fraud KU may indeed be, but it's not changing anything and no one on the selection committee is listening to you right now.

1993 - 15 straight years of bowl games. We have only lost to the number 2 team in the country and we rectified one of those losses. Our Defense is ranked 4th overall in the nation. And we are going to destroy KU. Don't bother having a party.

And if they are top 10, then they are certainly deserving over teams like Illinois and West Virginia.

"deserving" means justified on your own merits.

West Virginia was an automatic bid for winning their conference. KU was #3 in their conference. I wouldn't say KU is more deserving than WVU.
