Spartacus workout yesterday. Did it this morning as well.

I am starving. I ate pretty well yesterday until last night. Got wings and fries. Don't care so much about the wings, but shouldn't have done the fries. All in all, I was still under 2k calories, but I like them to be good calories.

Looking forward to Chest and Triceps today. Favorite day of the week. Expecting snow here this afternoon.(Georgia). Hoping the whole city doesn't shut down.

5 sets:

1-Dumb bell press
1-Extended lunge with dumb bells
1-single leg dumb bell dead lift

Then 2 of each
Then 3 of each
Then 4 of each
Then 5 of each

Did that build up 5 times in a fluid motion, moving straight from one exercise into the next. OMG. Hurting.

Did the 30 minutes on the eliptical this morning. Alternating this with the Spartacus workout for my cardio.

I can't ****ing kick the sugar habit I developed over Christmas break. Getting crazy cravings for sugary sweets. I'm usually super disciplined, but I've hit up the vending machines the last two days for these damned Grandma's Soft and Chewy Double-Fudge Chocolate Chip Cookies. I'm going to have to stop bringing cash to work or something until I get over this.

I love sweets too. I let myself eat them so long as I put them on my calorie log. So long as I eat less than 2K per day.... I am fine. Of course, I try to eat small nutritious meals all day. That way, the cravings are much less. Oh, and there are dark chocolate emerald nuts that I mix with fruit that aren't really sweets.... but help with me having fewer cravings.

Killed my arms today. Leaving on a trip tomorrow, and I still have 2 lbs of steak to cook and eat tonight! FTW!

The best thing about that is that it is a negative calorie food. You burn calories eating it.

Oh I hear ya. I've had this issue before, Im probably one of the biggest sweet tooths on the planet. I LOVE sweets! Oh my gosh, that is like one of my biggest weaknesses when it comes to food and dieting.

But, I've been doing well lately and haven't touched a sweet in well over 2 months. Its a lot of discipline and you can do it too. But Im just gonna say if you're a sweet tooth like me, its gonna be a challenge, but still possible. It was tough, and still going strong.

Don't get me wrong, I still get my intake of sugars, but preferably natural sugars from either fruits, honey, etc. Just try to stay away from anything "refined" or artificial. I read up about refined sugars and they're really really bad for your body. Plus, do you know what the number problem is to obesity in America or why people have a difficult time shedding off those extra pounds? One simple answer, Sugars.

Well, today was legs. Squats, curls, extensions, calf raises, adductor, abductor machine, hip raises, and finally planks.

Pretty good work out. Feel great. Have not ate great today. Playoff football seems to prompt snacking.

Was sitting in an airport all day, but I'm in Orlando, FL. Will probably hit the gym tomorrow, but I hit it hard just in case last night. 2.5 hours.

SenselessChiefsFan 01-10-2010 03:35 PM

Off day... yay. I am beginning to appreciate my off days. It is hard to resist going to work out.... but I know that I have to take time off to actually allow my body time to get stronger.

SenselessChiefsFan 01-11-2010 07:41 AM

Spartacus this morning, then protein shake.

Going to try to eat less today. I won't beat myself up for hitting 2000 calories, but I am going to try to shave some off of it. I am making progress, but want to make faster progress. Who doesn't?

Today is chest and triceps. Very much looking forward to it. Should be a great workout. I always love coming to the gym on Mondays because I have had a full off day.

Silock 01-11-2010 04:56 PM

Taking a week off. I'm on vacation and it's time. I can't remember how long it's been since I rested my body. No need to push it all the time. I don't have any goals that can't wait anyway :)

I've seen this thread for a couple of months now and not opened it. I may read it at some point. I like the concept and agree with the principals. Accountability helps. I use Fitday.com to record my food intake and Mapmyride.com to record my workouts.

I went from 262 to 195 over the past two years but over the last three months got back up to 215 this morning. This must stop!

I'm in.
