how can you say that the qb position is not important to the front office? They traded a second rounder for a good starter and paid 3 mil to his competition.

when you are paying Alex Smith 9 million in fully guaranteed money before the season even starts there will be no competition against him. he is and will be the undisputed starter for the money they are shelling out

Does anyone know exactly how his contract is structured?

If there was a signing bonus, SF ate it when they traded him so it's not going to hit our cap. So if it's just salary, theoretically we could punt him after 2013 without taking any dead money unless he has guaranteed 2014 salary in his deal.

If nothing else, it gives us a little more leverage in the Geno Bluff if we're trying to deal out of 1.1.

Maybe Daniel is my "in" to returning to the happy, carefree days before I came to the planet and took the red pill. Perhaps Thignorance WAS bliss...
Is it possible to re-achieve True Fandom? Guys, I'm trying here because the only other option is to just let go of KC altogether. This is truly a sad ****ing sequence of events and day.
