I live in the DFW area, and Ft Worth is a hell of a lot more interesting and fun place to be as compared to the northern suburbia. The wife and I actually prefer Ft Worth to Dallas. Fort Worth's smoking ban is a lot softer than Dallas'. If a restaurant receives 51% of its revenue from food then it has to be non-smoking. You can still smoke in bars.
