The most glaring thing against the Chargers is they have a rookie RB having to learn protections in 2 days...at Arrowhead. I think Sutton is going to bring the house a few times..

Rivers is a statue and Jones/Houston/Ford are going to cause them trouble with the crowd noise. This wasn't a factor in week one....it's going to be loud and Rivers gets rattled at times.

KC played in this weather just 4 days before.

KC gets an additional day of preparation. Homes teams are 10-2 for a reason.

I really hope this game is officiated evenly. The NFL has a lot to gain by keeping the playoff race tight to the final week. KC could secure HFA with 2 weeks remaining...which isn't good for business. Chargers have been getting a lot of advantageous calls/no calls for about a month.

Chiefs SHOULD beat them by 10...but after the Rams game and the Raiders game last year, I dont know what to expect as far as the officials.

The run defense seems like a problem to me. If the Chiefs run defense is as bad as we've been seeing against teams like the Ravens/Broncos/Cardinals, the Chargers will use the run game to take pressure off Rivers in tough weather conditions/crowd environment.

Ravens had a TD drive the other day without throwing a single pass and they averaged 9.4 yards per carry on the drive. Just absurd. They have to be much tougher on the Chargers run game than this.

Ravens have been running like that on every team since Jackson started. It negated KC's pass rush...which is it's strongest area.

Totally different situation with Rivers/3rd string RB.....Chargers are going to have to pass.

Have faith in the meeting. For all we know, the script just got flipped on LAC. Ultimately, it's the Rams who are expected to carry that house and bring the money. The Chargers could, in time, devlop a following and everything work out they way everyone involved wants it to, but it's NOT going to happen under the era of an aged Phillip Rivers.
And right now( and for the long, foreseeable future ), Mahomes is the hot hand, and there is no way in hell you put that on the shelf. You strike while the iron is hot and get ready to begin ushering in the new era. You have to understand; prior to Mahomes, there was NO sure thing for the league to latch on to. And what they DID have, was not exactly the most exciting thing since roller-coasters either.

If nothing else, they may just let the AFC play itself out with the Rams on the rise and assured in the NFC and LA market.

I agree with all that...the off-season LAC hype was generated prior to Mahomes setting the NFL on it's ear.

Rivers/Chargers are about the most uncharismatic team in football...BUT since there were no new superstar QBs in the AFC...they figured playing up the LA angle and giving Rivers some legacy love was the move... and just prey someone in LA notices there are 2 football teams there.

LA wont bond with the Chargers until Rivers retires....he's a hold over from the SD days.

Have you noticed how little Brady/Big Ben hype there has been this year? NFL corporate is moving on...a Chargers/Rams SB would not get the desired effect they are hoping for. LA would side with the Rams...and further impede any new bonding/acceptance of the Chargers. It would be ****ing stupid...

Just played around with the ESPN Playoff Machine. If we win on Thursday and the Pats lose at Steelers on Sunday we lock up the 1st seed.

In week 14.

That is all.

Does Houston have a shot if they win and those things happen?

Houston cant over take Chiefs because of conference record if the Chiefs beat Chargers or Raiders.

Rasputin 12-12-2018 04:42 AM

I think this game is going be nuts and we are going see things we haven't seen before. Further more i think Andy has some plays from the bye week saved in his shirt pocket with some sauce on it.

Zero hype. NONE. Nary two words spoken other than to say, "yeah, there's Tom and Ben standing over there; hey dudes". LMAO
Mahomes has done it. He's made himself the most electric property in the NFL and I can guarantee you that the marketing heads of the league were screaming bloody ****ing murder to everyone else after that Ravens game.
Phyllis and the Bolts are done. And I wouldn't be surprised if the original Bolts plan for LA gets scrapped altogether in time. Either that, or as we say, they're going to have to scorch the Earth and take an entirely new approach if they want ANY viability in that market.

I think through sheer force of will and maybe divine intervention, the kid won us the victory we've needed for decades, the inside victory that doesn't get talked about. Whatever the case, I'll take it!

Just for the record, James Jones (pretty sure that’s who I’m thinking of but kight be drawing a blank) is an absolute butt ****ing moron

I always thought the dude was a dumb **** but after watching him pick Anthony Lynn over Andy Reid and Rivers over Mahomes I just wanted to slap his dum **** face.

Are Chiefs fans just being really quiet? Or are Charger fans being especially obnoxious?

Or are people just starting to hate the success Mahomes is having and looking for any reason to diminish what he’s done?

Chargers have been the "trendy" pick to win the Super Bowl the last 4-5 years. Pundits have been picking against the Chiefs since the Rams loss. It is what it is. Mahomes has this.

The NFL network and especially its morning show GMF, have been a Mahomes love fest all year. The NFL loves it some Mahomes. Ratings are up everywhere, in every time slot. Videos are being recorded of reactions to Mahomes plays, like GOT.

And he is our 23 year old QB. PBJ

I cannot wait until people hate the Chiefs fan base the way people hate the Patriots fan base.

I get hard thinking about people having conspiracy theories involving us
