I hate to see that. He's good for football. The Allen Mahomes rivalry is a great thing for the game.

It is sad to see, for sure. Tommy John would be devastating - basically would take him out for 2023, too, unless they rush him back.

That would be a pretty tough blow to absorb when they loaded up for 2022 and 2023 to try and win it before his cap hits got huge.

They don't have much flexibility moving forward against the cap, due to the Von Miller deal.

Neither does Allen's arm

Would he be capable of slinging the ball the same way after he recovered? I know of TJ surgery, just not sure what a player looks like after they recover.

Or does it have too much flexibility? It has been said only two tools are needed to repair anything that breaks: (1) duct tape for things that move but should not (2) WD40 for things that don’t move but should. Which of these does Josh need exactly?

I'm mostly just hoping its something extremely painful that he can still play through.

Like turf toe.

Most guys these days have full recoveries and continue their pitching careers with no trouble.

I wouldn't expect it to hurt him long-term in terms of pure arm strength. Some guys even see a little tick up.

I'd be more concerned about touch/feel/ball placement.

Colonel Steve Austin had a devastating injury to his arm. After surgery, he was better than before. Better. Stronger. Faster.

Allen’s arm is fine.

He threw the pass of the year (that no one will talk about because the receiver dropped it) AFTER the injury.

70 yard pass in-the-air while on the run and hit the receiver right in the bread basket. One of the greatest throws ever and I believe longer than any QB currently playing has ever thrown it in a game.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Josh Allen&#39;s incomplete pass intended for Gabe Davis traveled 69.3 yards in the air, the longest pass attempt over the last six seasons.<br><br>Sauce Gardner was able to close in on Davis to create a tight window — from 2.4 yards at throw to 0.4 at arrival.<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/BUFvsNYJ?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#BUFvsNYJ</a> | <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/TakeFlight?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#TakeFlight</a> <a href="https://t.co/gipcg3CyK6">pic.twitter.com/gipcg3CyK6</a></p>&mdash; Next Gen Stats (@NextGenStats) <a href="https://twitter.com/NextGenStats/status/1589368611206238209?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">November 6, 2022</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Tl;dr - His arm is fine.

People keep saying this yet the only two times Allen has been hurt has been when he’s in the pocket lol.

His playing style has nothing to do with him being injured in the pocket.

Uhh, folks do all sorts of shit with completely wrecked body parts purely on adrenaline.

Keep telling yourself that. Whatever helps you sleep at night.

That really sucks for him/them. Wouldn't say I'm a fan but it doesn't hurt my feeling when the Bills do well given the half decade I spent up in Rochester. Only team I wish unending mediocrity and misery on are the Jets. **** those clowns with a rusty AIDS spork.

Most pocket QB's don't make it to 35. Physical/Running QB's don't last that long. Those hits add up...
