I don't like the flag going up, the pomp and circumstance of celebrating last season's victory in this season's home opener.

They're going to be laser focused now

They've listed him as limited. I'd imagine if it were that serious, Rap or Shefter would have it by now, right?

Be patient. This is the worst they've ever seen. Examining it and figuring out a treatment is going to take some time

Bwana 09-05-2023 02:30 PM

If he's borderline, rest him. We are going to need him in week 2.

Well, here's the bright side:

1. we always needed to take this season and move away from a Kelce-dependent offense. It's the start of the season, and the right time to start working the young guys in, so they are up to speed by the playoffs.

2. Any chance of the team sleepwalking into this home opener is GONE. Upset alert is at Defcon 1

3. WBF

4. He's probably going to play

I’m with you on all points. I want Toney and kelce to play just because we have so many fresh faces and we can ease them in. But **** it… let’s throw them into the fire and ask them to step up instead of expecting kelce to open them up

I’ll add a few more…
- Reid knows how to put these guys in a position to win. Like when we shelved kelce and tyreek during covid. Hard to do multiple weeks but week 1s a spot where gameplanning can catch off guard
- we aren’t desperate. If we lose some early this team is good enough to recover later in the season. Hell, even with jones and kelce I expect this year to be somewhat of a rebuild anyway and I’m actually sorta ok settling for less if it means developing the living hell out of our young players

Hey O.city, you are aware most hyperextended knees are non contact injuries right?

Against Jacksonville?

Monticore 09-05-2023 02:33 PM

I think non contact is most likely better outcome then direct trauma causing it I could still lead to a tear but the force is normally less than someone hitting /landing on it , at my age I would probably blow every ligament I have .
