What a complete ****ing moron that guy is.

Amazing how many times you see these kind of guys make these kind of decisions that just torpedoes' their careers and cost them millions of $$ over nothing but ego.

Their egos contribute to their success but eventually burn them to the ground.

UteChief 12-04-2024 05:09 PM

Happy KC dodged that bullet.

Some unconfirmed rumblings that he refused to go in the game yesterday.

For Harbaugh to speak like that about him, I have to imagine he is a malcontent.

Wow. I got this info from Reddit comments.

Funny how plugged in those ****ers can be.

His refusal to play will hurt his contract negotiations far more than not getting many snaps with a new team.

You aren't good enough to be declining to play bruh.

Trading for D-Hop instead of him might actually be the difference between three-peating and not. LMAO

Kareem and D-Hop signings are quite literally saving this season. Pending Humphries to make it 3/3

We're going for a three peat. Tell me why we couldn't and shouldn't have done that deal.

Man.

Why would anyone want to "beat" that deal? Honest question.

I can't believe with the Steelers history there are still many who look at diontae and praise Tomlin for keeping guys under control. Where does this shit come from? Its more an indictment on Tomlin that he gravitates toward head cases. And why do people ignore that guys like AB, leveon, claypool, martavius Bryant were headcases under Tomlin's watch. And we all know Pickens is heading that way.

Can we please stop acting like Tomlin is some kind of wr whisperer? Because it's the exact opposite

I don't think people feel like he's a WR whisperer. Rather, they see him as a guy who can manage and massage the personalities around him, and if they don't fit - no matter the talent - they're gone.

AB seemed like a semi-normal person while on the Steelers which is crazy given everything that's happened subsqeuently. The other guys were just difficult and most achieved zilch after leaving Pittsburgh.

And he gets the benefit of the doubt for never having a losing record which is not small feat given some of the talent he's coached.

But then you have leveon destroying their season because of locker room Bs. Pickens picking a fight on a hail Mary. Claypool costing them games to celebrate first downs. AB going full TO on the Steelers. He could do so much more without the distraction. it's definitely a marvel that he has winning seasons but thesse guys have actually costed them games

Honestly, I think Tomlin is one of those guys players can relate to.

He is, but all of them still end up being locker room cancers under his watch. It's like trying to tame a wild animal. I know they've had success with it but how many times has a bad egg spoiled that team under his watch? It seems more that he's decided hes willing to accept the risk of awful attitudes if they are athletic. Same risk Marvin lewis used to take but with less success. I still prefer reids route of mostly caring about team attitude

Me too. I respect what Tomlin has done but I just can't like the guy.

Sassy Squatch 12-05-2024 08:00 AM

Tomlin takes talented players with major character concerns that other organizations won't touch, squeezes whatever productivity he can out of them, and USUALLY knows when to cut bait when it becomes untenable. Most of them don't get a second contract and a couple don't even make it to the point where that's a decision.

UChieffyBugger 12-05-2024 08:10 AM

Lol I remember battling with the Johnson fanatics who were desperate for us to trade for him. Now them folks are either quiet or have turned their backs on him ROFL

Look playing with Lamar has always been tough for receivers. Now you add in Derrick Henry and it's even worse. Flowers, Andrews, Likely and Bateman are getting most of the targets and Johnson, who is used to being a one or two, is barely getting anything. FIVE TARGETS IN FOUR GAMES IS DISGRACEFUL. So I'm not gonna sit here and judge the guy. He was doing well in Carolina and was going into free agent in a good place. Now his money has been messed up.

If KC likes him he could be a decent, cheaper free agent in the offseason tbh as I very much doubt that he would act up on KC. Rice will be suspended, Watson, Hardman, Brown and Hopkins are free agents etc. So I'm not writing him off at all. Laveon Bell had problems at the Steelers and Jets and Brett still signed him. So I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up a Chief.
