I think the idea is perfectly fine....but whatever. I think it's bullshit that we have to wait for people who obviously haven't checked this shit in 3-4 days. If we're waiting on one pick....then why the hell do we have to wait the next time they come around?

Look I understand the fact that not everyone is able to check this site as much as some people do during the day. But they need to understand that people are waiting on them to make their picks. It's not hard to stop in for 5 minutes....see how many picks you need to make and then make them (while making sure you didn't pick someone that already has been).

If you've already missed your pick and you've come up again.....then I feel that we should skip you because you've already had enough time to make up your pick...and you still haven't. FFS people....if you don't think you can be here for your pick...find someone to pick for you....or don't play the game.

I did that once when I knew I wouldn't be available and got screwed. You already know this as you were the benefactor, but I left my PW for a buddy and he dealt my pick (and got f**ked in the deal to boot) rather than to pick from my list.

But I'll also come in and tell everyone that I'll be gone for a long period of time and just to skip me as soon as I come up. Without going through the last big discussion, I think we need to keep the 12 hours even if someone's not around or is behind. Everybody in it now is pretty good about checking in, with the occasional glitch.

One thing that I will propose is that if someone is behind more than one pick and only makes one pick or if someone accidentally picks a player who's already been drafted (even if they're not behind), the clock will reset with the next owner on the clock. So be sure your guy's not claimed when you make your pick, or risk a horde of other owners running up and making their next pick before you can correct your error.

i am extremely pissed at myself for not taking sims instead of mcfadden. i'm expecting dmac to have a really big season, but it would've been a much better pick to add another playmaker to the d and add a similar rb if not my target a few rounds later.

on the other hand i think we're about to hit a big dropoff in offensive talent in a round or two.

I dunno - the upside with DMAC is great, there's a number of great defensive studs still out there. Personally, I hope my targets at P and K are still there when I'm up this round.

If I would have thought that I could get Tatupu this low....then I wouldn't have taken DeMeco Ryans that high. As it is now though....Thomas Howard is going to fill the WLB spot.....Tatupu moves into the MLB spot and Ryans kicks out into the SLB spot.

Sounds good... when we first threw this around I needed to clear my mind on whether or not it made sense, plus it was in R9 I believe when we discussed it.

Considering the multiple picks that I have through the next few rounds... I really don't see a downside for me. I had 2 R13 picks, moving my second pick from R13 to R10, for the price of flipping a R14 for a R18 and a R20 for a R25 seems fair to me.

So, I have no picks in R11, R14 or R20, but still have 3 in R10, 2 in 12 and 3 in R18 and R28. I can live with that...

And I now have no picks in R18, R25 and R33 but I have 3 in R12 and I'm back to having one each in R13 and R14. I'm hoping that by the time R18 rolls around....I'll pretty much have my team filled. I'll just need to start filling for depth.

There's no right or wrong way to really build these teams and we all want to wheel and deal like Daniel Snyder and Jerry Jones, but with more wins. :thumb:

KC Kings select......Terence Newman. He wasn't even on the spreadsheet that was handed out and I've searched his name like 20 times to make sure he hasn't been selected. A little big of an injury risk, but he is one of the best in the game when he's playing. At age 31 he will provide vet leadership, and he has the ability to play well until age 40.

Yes - I have selected QB #2. Ok, part of this was my plan when I sent Cassel away via trade. Injuries to QBs happen more than we like and with this position being so critical, I had to take a shot at a young QB (only 27) in a nice offense. Sure, he's an injury risk, but it's a risk I'll take at this point...
