Oh, yeah... I forgot about that part. That was pretty awesome! :thumb:

And the guys from Philly last year called them "lamebrains". Isn't there anyone who would just call them "zombies"?

That doesn't make sense because they made a big deal of the Governor drinking some. Didn't they? Maybe he just mentioned the tea and never drank it? Now I have to rewatch.

Hardcore.

Meh episode.

I thought it was a great episode. Had to set up the Woodbury storyline somewhere, and I'm glad they dedicated the entire 42 minutes to it. Reminds me of when Lost would do the same thing in Season 3 with the Hydra Island crew.

Without episodes like this, characters would have no substance or background. Viewers would not care. You know like tdog. Episodes like this make the other episodes better.

I agree, though, it was a fine episode with a WTF ending (he's keeping zombie heads in tanks in a room with a chair so he can stare at them all?!). A lot of mystery to that town and the Governor. Should be fun when him and Rick meet. And Merle's finally back....been waiting two seasons for that.

They were all drinking tea at the table except Michonne. There's definitely something to it, though.

Great show. The video game is also awesome!

I guess the heads are technically zombie heads since they're dead, but the one head was that of the soldier who they recovered from the helicopter wreckage and he'd "interrogated" on the surgery table, showing that he basically killed him, cut off his head, and preserved it.

BTW, when I saw the Governor's nerdy scientist brewing tea, I immediately thought: "Gale Boetticher!"

Gonzo 10-30-2012 10:22 AM

I'm fairly certain that the tea has a mild tranquilizer or a psych drug of some sort. Prozac, lithium, whatever.
You noticed that they made a couple references to how the public stayed so calm and docile. I'm sure they are probably putting it in the water supply as well.

Random thought -

Do you think the two guys Rick killed in the bar towards the end of last season were a part of the governor's group? They said they were in a group of like 30 or so. (Trying to figure out how killing them, or the kid, will come back to bite Rick in the ass)

Yeah, noticed that. Maybe his kills then? Although Michonne's zombie heads were there too.

I don't know, it's possible. But I think Rick still existing will be enough to bite him in the ass in regards to the Governor (and of course, Merle, too).
