Just checking in, but has Rice been sent to a North Korean labor camp yet?

Sure it is. He left the scene of an accident.

LEFT THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT. That's a FELONY man. That's stone cold shit.

Don't kill the messenger, I just shared the law in Texas and that they can charge you if they think you are impaired and you test for THC. If Rice had stayed, and they found weed(which leaked reports said they did), and his eyes indicated he may be high, he would have been charged.

He got himself a good lawyer. No way he gets penalized for THC.

BTW, did the NFL get rid of the THC testing? Isn't it legal in 38 states these days?

They wouldn't take him.

Can't have animals like that roaming the quiet countrysides.

ROFL

8 would make it the most absurd arbitrary suspension yet.

And yet consistent with the inconsistency of the NFL.

3 short of Deshaun Watson.

Exactly. What a load of horseshit.

See, this is the game many of you keep playing.

On one had, you just want to say "well that's what the NFL does", but it's so obvious that you think the punishment would fit the crime based on how you talk about the situation.

Stop making ridiculous predictions and tell us what YOU think he should get.

Indeed. But so is alcohol.

It doesn't need to be proven for Goodell to act on it. The previous poster had it right - Roger will assume he had weed in the lambo because he was high and that's also why he left the scene (not the worst of assumptions) and tag him with a DUI resulting in crash sort of suspension.

So 3-4 games.

And he should. We already have an example of a player killing someone racing on public streets. Luckily, no serious injuries but he has to make an example of Rice to stop players from racing on public streets.

Maybe he can avoid serious time if he voluntarily checks himself into rehab for his marijuana addiction

Probably 4. But if Goodell wants to make an example of him it'll be 6 or 8.

Its interesting because I'm pretty sure the NFL agreed to pretty much not give a **** about weed anymore.

I say suspend him for the season. It’s one thing to drive reckless. It’s another to drive while under the influence. It’s yet another to leave the scene of an accident. Three strikes and you’re out!

I don’t really believe a full season is warranted. It’s a personal conduct issue and I’d say 4 games with an appeal to 2.

scho63 04-05-2024 11:52 AM

1. Racing on public highway AFTER the Ruggs debacle - 2 games
2. Leaving scene of accident - 1 or 2 games
3. Weed / drinking likely involved - 1 game

I see minimum 4, maximum 6

That's my best guess.

1-2 games would be a blessing
8+ games would be discriminatory
