Surely you aren't that illogical.....if you think he was over-driving that car maybe I should question your NASCAR-sense.

Carl made one run at Menard and then settled back into his position. Sure didn't seem to be too much trouble to try it for the 2 cars running at the front of the pack.

And if you don't think the points should mean something then you forget how close some of the Race to The Chase have become.

anyway, I'm superstitious. you'll never hear me talk shit about NFL teams the Giants are scheduled to play during the season.

I have talked to people here and in real life that believe that silly shit. I tell them the same thing. Do you really think you have the power to effect the outcome of something you are not involved in LMAO Please tell me you are smarter than that~

I agree. That's why I said that in post #2699. Were you meaning to quote Dylan?

Look what happened to the 17 when he tried to make more than he had. He was damn lucky to save it. Carl is driving solid and smart and I dislike the prick~

Did solid and smart get him the title last year? Carl has become the same thing that Jeff Gordon became and made him lose his edge.

Too Corporate....

Well that pretty much answers any questions about how exciting this race was.

The entire sport has become too corporate...and too sanitized. I find myself becoming less and less interested in it each year.

To be fair, I have baseball and Indycar occupying the 2nd TV.

Maybe my problem is I watched NASCAR when it was less corporate. I remember going to the Races in Hickory NC and watching guys like Petty, Waltrip, Gant, Earnhardt Sr. and Morgan Shepherd race like they hated each other, then fight it out in the infield afterwards.

On this we can agree. But Carl is doing nothing wrong and is leading the points with a win for ****s sake~

I cannot think of a driver that is more the "corporate" type you are talking about than Jimmy Johnson. He has won 5 in a row~

Demonpenz 06-19-2011 06:33 PM

I used to work around IBM and Cerner. Johnson was considered a real bad boy around there.
