Yeah. One leg with the rear foot elevated on a bench/box.

That is very frustrating.

This is what I ALWAYS see.

Due to back spasms and some hip tightness and soreness I've had to back off my workouts the last two weeks. That's slowed my progress but since then I have lost one more pound so I've gone from 235 to 219 in two months. Three weeks ago I was hoping to be at 215 or maybe even less but it didn't work out that way. From 219 pounds my next goal is 209 pounds. It's just ten pounds so that shouldn't be to difficult. Right? Right! So by the 4th of July celebration I should be 209lbs and maybe even 205lbs if things progress well. I'm altering one key part of my diet to help. From now on it'll be me ordering up a Crown and Diet 7UP.

OK, it's time to tighten shit up. I made some pretty solid gains in size & strength this winter. Now I need to cut up. I feel like that would just happen if I cut out the beer, but who wants to do that? I'll be switching to light beer and adding some cardio. Hopefully that will do the trick.

I survived a graduation party where all my favorite junk foods were out in force as well as my wife's birthday, which was a food haven.

The highlight of the week exercise-wise was a 15.2 mile bike ride with an elevation gain of 1,370 feet. I made the decision this week that my next big goal is to successfully complete RAGBRAI next summer. Biking has just been a lot of fun, and growing up in Iowa it would be pretty cool to bike the whole state.

Short term, I'm pushing to get into the 330's when we head to vacation in July.

I went for a great bike ride this evening. 16 miles, 1,500 foot elevation gain. Whew.

Keep rocking that bike. Those aren't easy rides. I'd recommend the Strava app. It tracks you through your phones gps. Then keeps distance and pace. I'm sure it does a lot of stuff with that data, but to me, pace is all of it.

I've been cycling the last month or so with my bro and really noticed how much easier it seems to be to lose weight in lieu of the treadmill so I think I'm making the commitment to it.

I bought a starter bike last year, Trek 7.2 FX. It's a decent bike, but my bro has to slow down constantly. He's on a Cannondale Synapse.

I went to upgrade to a Specialized Sirrus Pro Carbon last night. The manufacturer is out of stock in all sizes for the Pro Carbon and the step below it.

This thing is just badass. I want it!

I have this one and I love it. It's not all carbon. (Just the fork & seat post)

And that will never change. I feel up and down all the time about my size. Somedays I feel huge and the next nothing. I feel like a woman who thinks about it too much.

That's a nice bike.

Idk my one reps I never max. Recently I did 275x6 on squat (below parallel), 335x5 on DL, 240x5 on bench.

5'11" 185 lbs.

I have a lot of potential. I found Rippetoe's SS last summer and fixed my form and started doing more appropriate lifts.

Below parallel should go without saying. Otherwise, it's not really a squat. :)

When I first started at the gym and picked a random number out of thin air to make my goal to be at by next year (which would be September of this year), I picked 175 lbs. As of last night, I am 1.2 lbs away from that original goal. Only three months ahead of schedule. Approximately 35 lbs to go to reach my new goal!

luv 06-04-2014 08:10 AM

Oh, and I'm 20 lbs away from having lost triple digits. TRIPLE. DIGITS.
