Chiefs now have around $14 million in cap. I think another move is coming

Maybe this means Sneed isn't gone.

DRM08 03-12-2024 05:31 PM

Philly is pretty much buying the entire league while paying the QB over $50M per year.

Would need another move to restructure from Thuney.

Then hurry up and sign a long term deal to get that franchise tag # off the cap.

Expensive redecorating of the deck chairs on the Titanic.

I read that Dee Ford was traded at 8pm Central on the night before the new league year. Something big might be coming.

If the Chiefs sign Hollywood Brown then Worthy won't be on the Chiefs draft board in the 1st-2nd round

That's what you do when you're desperately trying to win one before your window closes entirely.

Not when your window is conceivably open for the next ten years plus.

Veach will have to find… at minimum… an instant starter at WR + one additional impact WR in the draft… barring an unexpected turn of events in the free agency/trade market.

Ridley, Hollywood Brown, Curtis Samuel, OBJ, maybe Mike Williams if the Chargers release him… that’s what is realistically left in the veteran WR market.

I mean, we all know that you aren't adding a superstar... some others maybe would make some sense...

K.J. Osborn (MIN) - Can be a quality slot/#2.
Chase Claypool (MIA) - You gotta vet this guy but the talent is there

I think some next-wave guys that could be role players are:

Josh Reynolds (DET)
Laviska Shenault (CAR)
Van Jefferson (ATL)
Donovan Peoples-Jones (DET)
Quez Watkins (PHI)
Parris Campbell (NYG)

Gotta get your superstars in the draft... or trade Minnesota about 3 1sts and Sneed.

Still need room for few more vets/draft class hopefully this isn’t going all to one guy and this also mean no Snead deal yet.

pugsnotdrugs19 03-12-2024 05:40 PM

It may not mean Sneed stays, but what it does mean is we aren’t settling for a bad deal in a trade just to create cap room.
