Self didn't disclose what was said in the meeting. But obviously one day later, Landen Lucas started and Traylor played 15 minutes.

This is why you don't let players pick their teammates or coaches. I'm sure that Self does what he think is best for the team but you can't just ignore what the team is telling you.

I just hate watching Lucas. I don't see how he gives us the best chance to win.

Impressed with Ellis on offense today. He really carried the team. However, see that tall white guy out there? Stay on him!!!!

Yeah, and the amusing part is that even beyond it happening every season, it couldn't have been scripted better this year..... a couple of high flying games, including an epic 3 OT win, followed by 3 teams that intentionally slow down the game... a loss on the road, followed by getting back on track at home. Who could have guessed?!?!

Oh, let me look into my crystal ball... they start playing better in the next month with @ISU, UK, KSU, WVU, @OU, OSU, and @Baylor while possibly not bringing enough or any energy @KSU or @TCU.

I'll try to act surprised though.

It's almost like you've seen this a time or ten or every year.

This team doesnt have the energy to win the road games that mean 'SB victories' to the other teams. I figure KU loses to the 'this is the year' Iowa state and OU on the road. They might eek the TCU game, but it depends on whether or not they have a good crowd. This team needs to gear up for the tournament, and they know it...these big12 road games dont mean anything but to the home crowd

All I care about, until oh March 16 or whenever the big dance starts, is Kentucky. It's the only game I really care about this year. If you asked me to choose between winning the League or beating Kentucky, I just laugh and choose Kentucky

So that's why you spent all day after the loss this week trolling this thread? LMAO

Anyway, Kentucky isn't any good. They should win that game.

Yes. I don't care about the league, at all. Nobody does outside our fanbase. I only care about March, and games vs other elites

Lucas has the ability, he just does not engage himself to maximum effort all the time.

I, as a coach, if the effort is not there, you ride the pine.

I disagree. I haven't seen the ability. From my perspective, he is always giving full effort, he just doesn't have the quick jump or agility to do things we are used to seeing out of KU big men.

He's a pretty smart player (unlike Traylor, who your comments DEFINITELY apply to WTF is with that guy?) and plays pretty technically sound, other than losing power when he tries to make a move. That's why he's out there. Guy does what he's supposed to, even if it is unimpressive.

Sagarin spread for Kentucky moved from 11.2 to 7.4 this week.

It's 0.80 for Ames tomorrow.

If they don't beat Kentucky it will be and unmitigated disaster and Bill will definitely be in trouble.

TambaBerry 01-24-2016 02:34 PM

I actually agree with prison bitch and bambi. Nobody cares about league championship, they're nice and all but all anyone talks about is how ku hasn't been past the first weekend in a while.

I'd kick out all the trolls, but I think there would only be like 3 people left.
