LMAO

This place, man.

Will Venable is past his prime but you could do worse as the LH side of a platoon. He has some nice power/speed tools and if you can pair him with a decent RH stick, you could probably get 600+ ABs of .770 OPS and 15 HRs/15SBs for your efforts.

We're not talking about a world-beater, but he'd could be a nice part on a winning team.

Lawrie will fight you and make you take it back. There can be only one... supreme jackoff in baseball.

Can't get there. I know you Royals fans hate the guy as much as us Cardinals fans hated Johnny Cueto, but I love Lawrie as a competitor and would kill to have that on my team.

He's flamboyant and definitely a bro, but its in the same vein as Bryce Harper and I ****ing love Bryce Harper.

I get why Royals fans hate him, but he's not in the same universe as Papelbon and Latos.

**** Lawrie. He's a douche. Hosmer is the douchiest Royal and he's like half as douchey as Lawrie. Never go full douche.

Ventura is our biggest douche by a mile. Lawrie is a dirty player and a douche.

There's also a good chance he's toxic in the clubhouse. The A's beat writer said trading away a "negative force" in the clubhouse was a priority this offseason. Mr. Lawrie was dealt later that month.

Absolutely. It's pretty clear who he was talking about. Sorry Petro discussed it today on his show.

The A's subreddit was pretty much at a consensus that it was Lawrie (sad to see a folk hero fall to such lows). Though a few were crossing their fingers that it was Country Breakfast.

That makes three organizations (Brewers, Blue Jays, A's) who have now dumped Lawrie, with his inability to get along with his teammates being a primary problem each time. "Lockerroom cancer" smoke has risen each time.

Just like Latos.

I don't understand GMs. Baseball GMs just don't seem to give a damn about it. They treat it like it doesn't matter because it's such an individual game (batter versus pitcher). 162 games is such a grind, though. The stress of dealing with just one or two shitheads is enormous because you basically live with each other.

The NFL GMs care much more about chemistry, but those guys can avoid one another for the most part. There are only 8 road games a year, so it's easier to just suck it up and geT through it.

Did you not read how the Cardinal fans not only told us how we are wrong about Lawrie, but they also gave an example about how they were wrong in a similar situation in the past?

How did we get so lucky to have the bfib come on this board to not only tell us when we are wrong, but to also be able to give us Cardinal history kessons in the process?

Not only is Lawrie a huge douche, but he hasn't really lived up to being a highly touted prospect and high draft pick.

He ended up at the perfect organization for his personality.

Though the Cardinal fans were a bit insufferable with their "the Royals don't know how to wear winning" nonsense (Somehow they forgot the Pirates have cleared the benches 100 times in the past three years - and that the Cards got caught up in a fair share of those brawls). DJ is one of the best baseball minds of the planet. IMHO He's up there with Al and Duncan.
