Well that was certainly the hope at the time the trade was made but it’s evident now after this series that Durant is finally showing signs of decline. Too bad because instead of Luka embarrassing a Booker-led team this year, it was another flabby white guy in Jokic.

The Suns are clearly going nowhere fast. They needed Durant to be his old self and the best player on the team and he’s just not that guy any longer.

Durant is a top 10 player in history and even now despite declining is still probably a top 10 guy in the league. Yeah, I’d think that trade was worth a shot if you’re the Suns. Unfortunately, CP3 got hurt again and Durant isn’t the superstar he once was.

LeBron spent 8 years with an organization that gave him Mo Williams as his best #2 for its duration. It’s only too bad that he didn’t leave that mess sooner. Wasted some of his best years with that trash franchise.
