Also depends on what you're calling parallel. There are a few different opinions on that too. Top of thighs with the floor or hamstrings.

competition rules for minimum squat depth (parallel) is top of thigh at hip joint must he below the top of knee. sometimes even with, depending on the judge

My new fitness bike!

I just ordered it from a local bike shop.

Full carbon fiber and Shimano Ultegra group set for a helluva price.

Leg day with the personal trainer today. Going to go for 175! That would be squatting my weight. :)

Squatted 175 for 5 reps. Did a deadlift at 225!!

My fitness run took a mild blow last night...was mountain biking with a friend and was trying to cross a sandy riverbed...the usual approach is to speed through it and keep going. Well I sped into it but never got out. Front tire stuck, threw me over the handlebars and I landed on my face.

Fortunately no concussion, no fractures. Just a horribly scraped up face, swollen knee, and ripped up arm.

Gonna rest this weekend and then get back on the stationary bike.

That is very legit. Two plate deadlift is awesome. Great work!

Only, I'm not a dude. So that won't happen. I don't produce the testosterone required, and I have no plans to start juicing.

My personal trainer bragged on me to three different people before I ever left the gym...lol.

A little over a month in and the pants and shorts that I used to have to unbutton at the top just to be able to wear reasonably comfortably... I now have to wear a belt just to keep them up.

Still eating a bunch of carbs, too... as low fat as possible 5 days a week, but oh yeah, plenty of carbs.

I was a good solid 30 maybe 40 pounds overweight, so its not coming off as fast as I want it to, but the results keep coming so I keep going... focusing a lot on ab work right now, the guts gotta go asap, 45pd weighted sit ups and hanging knee raises, among other things, are really doing the trick.

You should just eat less and/or do more cardio. Doing ab work isn't going to make your body shed stomach fat faster.

That's great but ab work doesn't get you to lose your gut. There's better use of your time burning calories much quicker doing other things besides a ton of ab work. Keep eating better and workout harder. Save a few sets of ab work for the end of a grueling workout. If it takes you more than 10 minutes to train abs, you are wasting your time.

Oh I'm doing the cardio for sure, pretty much just "fart licks" and table jumping... I'll explain.

Fart licks is the term they used in the Army for sprinting from say, one telephone pole to another balls out, then walk the next one, then sprinted again etc. You can use any markers you want to or change it up... sprint two markers, walk one etc.

Why are they called "fart licks?"... I have no idea.

Table jumping is just a takeoff on "stair steppers", but instead of one step at a time up a low step, you jump both feet first up and down on top of a picnic table seat as fast as you can for as long as you can. for me right now its about 1-2 minutes max, but I guarantee you it gets the heart rate up, PRONTO.

I used to love to sprint up steep hills, but there aren't any worthwhile ones close enough for me to bother with here and I HATE long distance running at a steady clip, it just bores the shit outta me.

So I stick with short distance bursts or table jumps, it really works at getting the heart rate jammed up.
