I guess maybe it's the difference between loving someone and being in love with someone.

Sounds corny but I feel there is a difference. You can love someone (i.e care about them deeply) and then you can fall in love with someone (i.e they are your soulmate). I don't think you can really stop loving someone that you're in love with..

.. But I have a lot to learn and that's just my current 2 cents.

Sounds right to me. And I have absolutely nothing left to learn.

Fairly certain the photographer I slipped my name and number to a few weeks ago brought a dude to the game I worked today to make sure I didn't try anything similar a second time.

So that's nice.

Well, at least you tried and know for sure. So you have that going for you. :D

Seriously, you could look like a Cushingoid Jonah Hill and still nab a chunky girl if you are so inclined.

Good hygiene, dress well, have confidence and the rest will fall into place as long as you have realistic expectations.

Rule 1: Be Attractive
Rule 2: Don't be unattractive.

First dates? Nay. I save that for later.

Is that a personal preference or a moving too fast kind of thing?

I've cooked for a girl at her place on one of our first dates. Got laid. But didn't turn into a long-term thing.

It's all about what you're looking for - what's your end game?

It's a no for me. I normally wouldn't want to set the expectations that high that soon. The only time I've done it I knew it was going to be a short term deal as she was moving in a couple weeks.
