Now, obviously he played some role, no matter how big or small. But the big picture to me with that statement was that Geoff has likely heard all of his stuff from Mitch. And it sounds like Geoff is under the impression that everything happened within the locker room, amongst coaches and players, not Clark Hunt..

What does knowing about the Rams have to do with having a source who witnessed a supposed fight between Marcus Peters and his mom in the Chiefs locker room months ago?

No other credible Chiefs source has reported that.

But some random poster named "SAUTO" who has "sources" has knowledge of something that no one else has?

Peters was gone before the Jets game. They were moving on this offseason no matter what.

Or, the conditional 3rd could escalate into a 2nd if some incentives are met, and maybe even a 1st if more incentives are met.

I would say there are about 4-5 better cornerbacks in the NFL.....Ramsey, Bouye, Peterson, Lattimore maybe even Hayward.

I would have rather we kept him but I’m not losing any sleep over this. I see a lot of posts that the Chiefs should have tried to work things out with him, deal with him differently, etc. but I thinks it’s safe to say they probably tried a lot of different things to get him under control (whatever that means to them).

So assuming they didn’t try hard enough and he shouldn’t have been traded seems odd given there are probably numerous talks and other disciplinary actions we don’t know about.

Reid didn’t just all of the sudden turn into a guy that won’t tolerate players personalities or other distractions they bring. I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt in that he gave Peters every chance to keep playing here and stay on his good side.
