According to him we'll have trouble winning a single game. IMO he needs a name change. Something like mcvajdoubledouche.

Dorsey likes Tyler Bray's physical tools. Says he still has a lot to learn. Wants him to work on footwork in the pocket...

Well clearly you are unimpressed with Alex Smith. But let me ask you this. Lets say that it was Alex Smith up in Minnesota right now, instead of Cassel.

Do you think that there would be a qb competition going on? That is what is going on right now. Matt Cassel, and Christian Ponder are competing for the job.

Alex Smith would be the clear cut starter right now today. Not even close.

That's all im saying. Alex SMith is not all world. But, its more an illustration of how bad Matt Cassel, at his root, really is.

Cassel and Ponder aren't competing for the job.

Some how, even with Alex Smith averaging less than 200 yards per game, the 49ers still managed to go 20-5-1 in Jim Harbaughs 2 seasons.

He also attempted the least amount of passes in the league. Do you think there could be a correlation between winning, and need that dictated how many times he HAD to throw?

I understand the concern when you look at the numbers. Its not like though that his numbers were bad, like at all. They just weren't plentiful.

When you break it down, and realize what the strength of the 49ers is, even today, its the run game, the 49ers oline is a much better run blocking oline, than a pass line. They have stellar running backs, the receivers are mediocre, but they also have a great defense, and one of the best punters in football.

There isn't much need to put up 250 yards a game passing when you have the number one rushing attack in football.

Yes, they played to their strengths and that wasn't Alex Smith of course. If they knew they could put up plenty of points with Alex without turning the ball over they would have done so.

Tyler Bray with a risky throw. Threads the needle between two defenders. Behind Demetrius Harris. Drops the pass. #Chiefs

how do you "thread the needle" yet throw behind the TE.

I saw @adamteicher reporting Tyler Bray is the 3rd QB w/ the #chiefs, talking w/ people inside the organization they are VERY high on him

**** that. I don't want the #3 QB spot.

I want the #2 spot. I want Chase kicked square in the ass out the door

Or kicked square in the chin. They're the same thing, really.

Marcellus 08-06-2013 10:16 AM

So we have a solid experience veteran QB starting this season, a former #1 overall pick who has really kick started his career the last 2 seasons.

We have a young talented strong armed rookie in the wings who the team hopes they can develop and we have a coach and GM who I think have shown they believe in developing QB's, at least looking at their histories and where they came from.

Yea I feel much better about the future of this team right now, better than I have since 2003.

They were having a segment on nfln asking Mayock and Jerimiah who they thought this years Alfred Morris is and Mayock said Knile Davis.

He said he saw him as a first round pick that fell because of ball security and if he can get that sorted out, he has a chance to be a star.

I said a couple times at camp that I was very impressed with the kid and that he resembled Bo Jackson in many ways with the speed and power he hits the hole with.

He won't be Morris with JC here.

Tyler Bray has since backed off his SEC is the same speed as NFL comment. More on The Program coming up NEXT. #Chiefs

Tyler Bray, "It's a lot easier to play fast now when you know what you're doing."

Thread the needle is a term used that means he threw it between two defenders.

I'd bet almost anything that as the season progresses they will get these two on the field at the same time as much as possible.

I can see them running a lot of pistol looks with offset backs (they ran this a lot in camp with different personel) utilizing Charles and Davis in the backfield and motioning Charles out wide and running it with Davis.

I won't be shocked to see him get 150 touches.

The kid has big time talent and is gonna surprise a lot of us.

Had to play to the strengths of the team in 2011. Coming off the lockout, no training camp, new coaching staff. Had to baby the offense. Couldn't go head to head with teams they faced. I understand what you are saying. But the offensive talent on that 2011 team, was just not very good outside of Frank, and Vernon.....

Gotcha. Alice will be something he hasn't been in 8 years in the league.

Save your reply I've heard all of the half assed excuses of why he sucked before and will be good now.
