Exactly. And he seemed to read the holes pretty well. He was quick and decisive. He should continue to jell with the oline moving forward.

He got nine TD's last season for around 800 yards rushing..wouldn't you take that right now? Sharing the rock should get him through the season fine imo.

He's literally got two arthritic knees.

If we're going to swing at a past-his-prime RB, let's at least go after AD. Guy just has a gambling problem.

The screen pass was what made me more excited than anything.

They start doing that a few times a game and I feel a lot better about CEH.

This. I actually screamed "holy shit they ran a screen to a RB" LMAO

CEH had a good game aside from the fumble.

Then again, the Chargers are one of the few rushing D' in the league that might be as bad as ours.

Yes, and the Charges are almost as bad at stopping the run as the Chiefs are. So who knows? But regardless it was a good performance, except for the fumble..

I know the Chargers suck against the run, but Clyde was actually following blocks. And i think that made as much difference as a shitty D.

Very true.

I will also note that the Chargers had much less success on the ground against us than we had against them.

Chargers ran for 77 yards at 3.5 per carry. Chiefs ran for 186 at 6.2 per carry.

Had you shown me that stat before the game, I’d assume a blowout win.

Of course, there’s another stat that was 4-0 in favor of the Chargers.

Another costly fumble and the Chargers run defense sucks anyway.

I'm still not impressed with this dude.

Eleazar 09-28-2021 07:12 AM

19 touches, 110 yards, TD. Apart from the fumble he was pretty good. If he did that every week he'd be a pro bowler, obviously.

There were definitely some positives on Sunday but they get minimized at best and negated at worst by turning the ball over.

Hopefully 2 in 2 weeks is bad luck and not the start of a trend.

Yeah, it's strange that he's got 2 in 2 weeks after never having a fumble before, but what's an acceptable rate of fumbling? I'm sure even Marcus Allen fumbled about every 5 or 6 games. Every back is going to fumble.

Of course and what's acceptable will likely vary on a number of factors. Rate versus other metrics such as TDs and overall yards is obvious a large factor (Zeke lead 2020 with 6 for RBs). Maybe critical timing like giving the game away in Baltimore. The overall team as well. Our shit defense can't absorb turnovers the way some others that have at least a pulse at pass rush, LBers in actual position to make a play, and secondaries that don't get caught grabbing can.

So yeah I'm not sure where the acceptable rate for KC will land but we're finding out quickly.
