He was fired because he has continuously pissed off his employers, and they (1) decided they'd had enough of his shit, and (2) had an excuse to fire him.

Based the TT interview I just saw their reason for firing him was insubordination. I heard earlier that he refused to apologize to AJ. That's surel what the thInk is "cause".

What makes you think that Leach has a winnable case. There might be a settlement but if this was a case that was litigated, I think Leach would have much less chance of winning than Texas Tech would.

Yeah, it makes perfect sense.......Craig is Daddy, Adam is the kid, Craig was one of the ones who helped to bring the death penalty to SMU. but I will be curious to see if he transfers as well.

How sure are you about that?

I know that SMU was paying players, but is it public record that James was one of them?

sportsman1 12-30-2009 10:54 PM

Yes it is Well known about Craig James and SMU. Don't listen to everything you hear on ESPN. Dallas morning news just released emails from those at TTU claiming they planned to fire him at the end of the season back in March. There is more to the story than what the biased national media is reporting.

It doesn't take long to figure out who never had their hand in the dirt in this crowd.

LOL @ Dane sitting on the bench at Shawnee Mission Whatever. I'd need to see proof that you even did that much. Your "masculine" personality refutes such a claim.

I want your take on the situation. And no mentioning other posters.

Ready.

Go.

Craig James sounds almost whiny.

Someone tell Craig James to shut up. Seriously. Could he sound any more like a wimp claiming he and his son are "victims."

I don't care much at all about Texas Tech, and their coaching situation. But I'll miss Leach's interviews. The guy's a nutjob, and he's willing to say anything. Beats the hell out of your typical sports interview.

Well, if you're tired of hearing about it, don't turn on ESPN.

Between that, and the Mangino fiasco... I'm pretty happy with Mizzou's situation.

I'm sure there will be something that comes out about how Pinkel instructed Tony Temple on how to treat his woman if she acts up

As an employer for 28 years, I agree that it is seldom 1 act that gets you fired, but more often a series of acts. And the final act is not so much a serious "crime", but the final straw or an act that we employers think will stand up in court as a terminatable offense.
