You know, after the initial anger of the first few games of the season, I had settled into a degree of amused apathy. I recognize what a dumpster fire this season is, yet still feel that the talent exists to keep this from become a decade long visit to the gutter of the league. Knowing that it will be nearly impossible for the FO to ignore the QB situation in the coming offseason has helped me to take this abortion of a season in stride. I watch the games without any particular emotion, not expecting anything spectacular and not being overly bothered when it all goes to hell.

But I have to say that if we start having a mother****ing fire sale over this trainwreck, I'm going to be pissed beyond description. There is no replacement for Bowe on this team, nor is there another more demanding need for the money that would be spent to keep him. Considering the product Clark is putting out at this time, I find it insulting that he would actually consider taking talent away from this roster for the sake of money.

Simply put, trading Bowe would tell me that what we as fans are currently experiencing isn't just a hurdle, but the path the organization has chosen for now and the future. Other than possibly an occasional joke, I've never been one to threaten to take my loyalties elsewhere. This move would test my resolve beyond anything I've experienced in my 25+ years of following this team.

Trading Bowe at this point gives me the impression that Pioli is salting Arrowhead's earth.

Good post. Where I'm at, too.

This is actually a good move.

Bowe is worthless now. By the time a rookie QB develops, Bowe will be over 30 and leaving his prime.

Plus we want to go 1-15 right?! Bowe leaving is a HUGE step in that direction.

It is also another strike against Pioli that players don't want to play for his damn team anymore.

Extra high draft picks for a new GM next year along with a top 5 overall pick. Sounds great to me.

LMAO

You're really ****ing stupid.

I should've clarified: in a Chiefs uniform.

The closest I've seen in my lifetime was Joe Montana when his jockstraps were made by Depends (figuratively speaking)

And I swear to god. The people in here talking about getting Moore or throwing mental draft parties with the picks we could get makes me want to ****ing drop kick a sack of kittens. the obsession with picks on this board is beyond reeruned. This isn't franchise mode of Madden you ****ing imbeciles.

Bowe, on a team with a REAL QB, is in the talk with the best WR's in the NFL. I don't really care if anyone agrees with that. The guys puts up big numbers with the worst crop of QB's in the entire NFL. If he were in Green Bay, NOLA, or NE you don't think he'd be putting up Megatron type numbers? Yeah, he would.

If we trade Bowe.........wow.

But where would the Chiefs be right now without McCluster, Arenas, Moeaki, Brown, Menzie, Wylie, Allen, Stephenson, Baldwin, Bailey or Lewis?

Wow. Just wow. Pioli is going to kill this team before he leaves.

Wait, so you think all that momentum leaning towards the Chiefs picking out a new GM is just hot air if he gets traded?

This is a miserable day. :(

2nd round pick at best. If we are rebuilding we may have to also entertain trading Hali as well, even though he is under contract for the next three years. Hali will be 30 next year. If we don't get the top pick, we will need ammunition to move up.

I can only hope that Clark told Bowe that Pioli is on his way out.....and that Bowe was fed up enough to just demand a trade.

Megatron? No.

But He'd be easily on that 2nd tier of acknowledged 'elite' guys. We'd hear him alongside Andre Johnson and not far behind Fitzgerald on the list of elite guys.

Calvin Johnson is in his own tier. He does everything (but block) just a little bit better than Bowe.

There's no question that if Pioli is allowed to make substantive decisions at this point, which trading Bowe definitely is, he's here for at least two more years. Guaranteed.

FlaChief58 10-17-2012 04:07 PM

I hate to say this but, if you look at teams who's owners want to sell the team, they do exactly what the Hunts are doing here in an effort to make as much money as possible before the sale.
