It's possible he's the pick at 1. It won't be for KC if it happens.

LMAO Yeah that Sanchez/Cassell really ended like a old mans last dying fart compared to a blaze of glory.

I have never, still don't, and will never believe that Sanchez was worth a high first round pick, but would that really have been in any way worse than drafting Jackson and throwing that second away for Cassel?

It's possible. We have put ourselves in a position where whoever we pick doesn't have to start this year.

No it wasn't. Sanchez at least had a higher unknown ceiling. Basically the Chiefs bought a $1 ticket with a jackpot pot of $1000 and lost and the Jets bought a $1 ticket with a 1 Million Dollar jackpot and lost with likely with better odds. The Jets made the smarter move, but neither one panned out.

?? A trade down and picking one of the tackles to play RT for at least one season is a likely scenario.

That is very true and it would also be wise. At this point it seems like we can't lose; unless we do some completely ricockulous shit like draft a fullback first. A trade down would be great and so would taking the best QB,DE,WR,CB, or LB. I think we are sitting in a great spot with the FA pickups. Now, if they end up grabbing a RT and a ILB in FA then HO LEE SHIT!!

Yep you are probably right.

You just traded picks for Alex Smith, and signed Chase Daniels to a long term deal. Put a fork in that idea.

It's only about a .000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000001% of a chance but there is a chance.

I don't think that would be a bad idea and neither is trading down. As I previously said, we are in a position where whoever we pick first doesn't HAVE to start this year. So it can be a QB or whoever; just as long as it isn't a fullback or long snapper.

Or Chase Daniel as he's known in America.

If Geno Smith beat us twice a year in Oakland.....the people that were yelling for Geno will be like banshees (me being one of them).

If Geno amounts to nothing.....then this board will never be allowed to pick a QB again.

lol, true true.

Not necessarily. You guys still have gabbert, and Henne. Yet, your whole franchise was there. I still think you are in the same boat as the chiefs, blowing smoke, trying to get someone to trade with you.

You just proved that their logic SUCKS.

Actually it validated it. They all are basically 1st round picks. We dont have a 2nd so brees comparison is moot. Picking him at 1 is the 1st round

People say he is top 10 talent. Some say lower. If you are part of the group that says he is not worth it, then there is zero trade partners. And you overreach on a lesser position.

If you are part of the top 10 group. Then he is worth the pick. Especially with todays rules and cap for rookie salaries. Even more so if you play to his strengths.

This team has never drafted a probowl or playoff winning qb in its history.

So fans would rather take a chance on a lt/dt and overpay rather than take a chance on a qb.

Mindboggling.

If he busts. He busts. Shit. Most of our previous 1st round picks suck ass. And they were supposedly safe surefire picks.

At this point, since we have a starter and a back up, taking a flyer on perhaps the best QB in the draft is no different than taking one on any other position. All of the risks have basically gone down to 0.

Bewbies 03-14-2013 03:39 PM

It would appear there's a QB multiple teams may have interest in trading up to #1 to acquire. Chiefs fans, rather than be excited about being able to take said coveted QB, hope to trade down at bargain basement pricing.

Holy shit winning doesn't matter.
