Yes. It's way better than a rematch of the SEC Championship game... They should move to a 24 team playoff, no one cares about any of the other bowl games anymore.

They could expand the playoffs to 50 teams and it won’t matter until other teams recruit/develop talent as consistently as Alabama, Georgia, etc.

Yes. It will be a worst game. But it is in the spirit of what championships are supposed to be. If you want inter conference championships lobby for an extra playoff game and stack them in the same bracket. How many sports pit division rivals against each other in the championship? The point of divisions and conferences is specifically to avoid this kind of stuff much as mlb would LOVE the ratings behind Yankees Red Sox.

Alabama would blow both teams they played out and I believe the title game will be a good game.

I totally agree they need to go to at least a 12-team playoff doubt it happens though.

The problem is your comparing pro sports with rules, draft slots, salary cap, common schedule, 2 conferences to CFB = the wild wild west and 11 different conferences.

As I said before if we would have stuck with the BCS the championship game would be Alabama-Georgia. The same thing happened back in 2012 or 2013 with Alabama - LSU.
